That said Deletraz began his sportscar career at slightly older than Jakobsen is now, having had a decent stab at single-seaters first.

Very similar, yes! Jakobsen has 57% podiums and 36% wins; Deletraz has 62% podiums and 30% wins.

oh and the only reason he hasn't won ELMS twice is one of those DNFs happening while leading with less than half an hour to go at Ricard in 2024. But I think we are all generally aware that Ritomo Miyata is cursed while in Europe so that was basically inevitable.

Malthe Jakobsen has started 49 LMP2 races, finished 45, podiumed 28 times and won 16, which is a crazy hit rate for a spec series where you're in the car 1/3rd of the time. He's won ELMS Pro/Am in 2026, AsLMS in 2023-4, 2024-5 and 2025-6, and this year's Rolex 24. He'll be 23 in two weeks.

On the bright side (or maybe just the spite side) John Falb has got a 10s for overtaking off track which is not related to bashing the #30 (other than inasmuch as if he hadn't he wouldn't have been in position to bash the #30) but, nonetheless, spite.

Some excellent LMP2 jousting at the restart there which didn't actually have any effect on positions. IDEC got Chadwick past Kaiser in the pits though, anybody's guess if that was a short fuel as LMP2 does not do fuel tank telemetry in any series.
