Night shot of Stan's Drive-In Restaurant, Los Angeles, California, 1952

Black-and-white photograph from 1952 that captures the night scene at Stan's and their popular location on the northwest corner of Beverly Blvd and La Brea Ave, showing a parking lot packed with vintage automobiles. In 1952, Stan's Drive-In was booming as a premier, fast-growing restaurant chain that perfectly captured the car-centric, optimistic postwar culture of Los Angeles, California. Known for its neon-lit architecture, distinctive pylons, and carhop service, the chain expanded rapidly in the early 1950s by acquiring former Carpenter’s and Simon's drive-in locations.

Sure, I'll get right on my cell phone to call the police if I see an escaped convict. Or the nearest pay phone. 🙄 #Jeopardy #NoirAlley #TCMParty

Perhaps either learning some rudimentary Spanish or bringing along a translating dictionary might have been a wise idea. 🤔 #Jeopardy #NoirAlley #TCMParty

The more I hear Gene sing the less I understand why the studio wanted him to. Other than trying to compete with Fred Astaire. #CoverGirl #TCMParty

The #ErrolFlynn interstitial makes my heart melt. Especially listening to Rory mention the affection Olivia and Errol had for each other. 🫠🥰💜
