JRR Tolkien: You paint that picture of the key scene from the Two Towers where Frodo and Sam fight Gollum? Donato Giancola: Sure did, Ron, real fuckin' sexy just like you asked. JRRT: What.

On the one hand, I won’t have to cook for myself when it comes to FrogPrince (Dietrich/Fabio). On the other, I just know there’s going to be more coffee shops than homoerotic cannibalism and at that point maybe I am pulling out my chef hat after all. #fefw

I'm enjoying fefw but I am beginning to believe there is just too much shit in this game. It's too big. You could cut out like 25% of the shit to do and it might be an improvement.

out here filling out invoices while high because FEFW is actually more overwhelming in an even slightly altered state

I might be high, but has anyone noticed how obviously poor the lower district is? Is anyone talking about the coming class war? Is Dante furiously writing das capital whenever we don’t see her?

When I got into writing BG3 fic, I expected some uwu Astarion fans to yell at me. And they did. And it was fine. It's whatever. I'm a rando on the internet who can laugh and block them. But watching what those same people are doing to T. Kingfisher right now is NASTY work. Nasty, nasty work.

Are we as a community ready to admit that Esmeralda is absolutely insufferable? Just wondering if we’re there yet or I should keep pretending every voice line doesn’t make me cringe. #fefw #fefwspoilers

Three more hours until I can play fire emblem

Insanely rude that I have to go to work instead of playing more fire emblem

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

It's crazy that it took until 2026, but god damn is it refreshing to play an RPG that's genuinely diverse and in a super normal, non-cringey way. Like, these are just the people who live here and they come in all shapes and sizes and colors and that's just super, super normal. #fefw

#fefwspoilers #fefwspoiler #fefw Frog Prince (Dietrich/Fabio) has all the ingredients of gay cannibalism, but it’s gonna get the modern au multichap coffee shop treatment because the rest of this game is so confoundingly unhorny.

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

#fefwspoilers #fefwspoiler #fefw You will absolutely NEVER guess what this dude sounds like in English. Not with a thousand guesses. There is no chance you’re ready for the voice that comes out of this guy.

I really gotta wonder what the point of preordering games and books is when it ALWAYS results in getting them after release day rather than ON release day.

260

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I’m gonna fuck off from this account while fortunes weave is new cuz I don’t trust the internet with spoilers.

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I love that category of anime that is just “look at this niche subject the mangaka knows way too much about. Now it is an entire anime about [the invention of electricity/how to run an aquarium/manga production].”

0181

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I just have the worst feeling that I’m going to wake up to 10,000 notifs tomorrow. The RNC really did make them gay though.

070

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

That’s it. I retire. No fanfic about Sylvain Jose Gautier’s gay awakening at the RNC could adequately satirize the REAL LIFE ACTUAL RNC putting hasan piker’s meat pic on the Jumbotron

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I will absolutely not rush through fortunes weave. I’m busy and have a lot going on and as excited as I am to play it, I know I’m going to be slower than a lot of fandom, and I just refuse to let them force me to rush. This is a game I plan to savor and do in my own time.

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I just want to point out that even if one of the literally *dozens* of Switch 2 fixes that have been offered to me works, it's absolutely beyond unacceptable to ship an expensive piece of hardware in this condition.

320

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

I know I've been gone for like a year. Last year was the worst year of my life and it's not close. Genuinely wasn't sure if I'd make it at times. Wasn't sure where me and my cat would live. Wasn't sure how I was gonna make it to the next month, week, day. Really couldn't see the end of the tunnel.

0180

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

It's been so long since I've gotten one of these. It's making me so nostalgic for my fanfic era 🥲

0210

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Reconciling with not really being part of fortunes weave fandom. I just don’t have the time or the money for it. Even if a switch 2 materialized in my life, I have so much going on that’s just too important to set aside for a game 😔

270

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

It’s crazy to sit here for years saying you need to defend AO3 even though it has “icky” things on it because it is, in fact, the last bastion, only to have WattPad go out of their way to prove us right about that.

1191

purple_bookcover @purplebookcover.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Boy, I sure hope no one is being super weird about the Astarion book before it even comes out and saying he shouldn't fuck. That would just be total loser behavior. haha.

Having had a story beta read by tulip, she’s an incredible beta reader who tangibly made my story so much stronger than it would have been otherwise and I’m furious someone would take advantage of that to try to hide their AI slop behind someone else’s talent. Stealing on top of stealing.

Heads up, I’m gonna be on this for awhile. The apology I received was not satisfactory. I know I’ll have to make peace with this on my own. First step will be making some fire! Opal, when she knew I was blissfully unaware I was offering to help her pare down/improve AI generated or tainted text:
