Heading back to Iowa City for a reunion celebrating the swing choir I was part of in high school. It’s been around for 50 years! Alumni across all the years are involved. I’m packing… As you can see, our colors are green and gold 💚💛

Piles of clothes on a bed. There is an over abundance of green and gold items.

Who is the prettiest flower? (that’s rhetorical, obviously it’s Luna) #dogsofbluesky #dogsky #jrt #jackrussellterrier

Jack Russell Terrier with a sage green flower pillow on her head. She has lots of brown freckles and a frosted muzzle showing her age. Sitting on a bed with a blue striped duvet and blue diamond patterned fleece blanket. There are other flower shaped pillows behind her, so it’s clear someone put one on her head. She seems not amused.

How to say you have an old dog without saying you have an old dog. #dogsky #dogsofbluedky #frostedface

A cupboard shelf filled with dog medication. Ten bottles and boxes in a row. Plus pill wrap and ear wash on the shelf below.

Second shelf has a lot of stacked rosemary flavored nuts in back because my husband is obsessed with a seasonal product so he stocks up.

Two dogs. Both brown and white. They’re in bed with a blue/white striped duvet cover and blue flannel sheets with white sheep on them.
Older Jack Russel Terrier’s head is resting on the back of the younger chihuahua. JRT has a bunch of dappled spots and a grey muzzle that used to be dark reddish brown.

And that's the smallest cost. Recall that Trump was impeached the first time for withholding Congressionally-approved military aid to Ukraine. That caused people to die. Money withheld for PEPFAR will cause people to die. Those people don't come back to life when the the funding restarts.

Interview on why I love dance. I started taking dance classes in 8th grade (kinda late). I wanted to take tap class in 5th grade, but I was too old for beginner child and too young for beginner adult. Have danced ever since. So happy to be involved with dance in my job!

Shout out to all the anxiety/depression brains just trying to get through the day sometimes. I’m with you. I hope we gather up all of the tools we can fit in our pockets to manage, including taking time to just breathe. The shame spiral is real. #mentalhealth #selfcare #introspection #therapy

I’m safe; we’re between all of the fires. No power most of yesterday. It came back on last night. Still no internet/WiFi but cellular data is up.

Map of the fires and evacuation zones. North Hollywood/Burbank area is between the very large Palisades fire to the West and the Eaton Fire to the East.

So. Much. Hate. I’m having a lot of trouble with the advice: just ignore them, don’t let it get to you, stop caring about what they say, they aren’t worth worrying about, let it go and focus on the good, etc. It’s not that simple. And it’s not our place to tell anyone how to feel or what to do.
