3) Building on 2, I want to be aware of whatever racist gibberish the right is harping on at any given day so I can be prepared on how to respond to it. 4) Much less important, but Twitter still has a ton of incredibly funny people on it, while I have yet to see a Bluesky post that makes me laugh.

2) 4chan/Stormfront levels of vile racism are increasingly becoming normalized in the GOP (Bo French, Paul Ingrassia, that white supremacist DOGE teen, Mike Collins’ campaign staff, Elon becoming a white nationalist), etc. It’s no longer something we can write-off as purely an online Nazi problem.

There’s a lot of reasons. 1) Twitter drives an enormous amount of real-world discourse; if Fox News or JD Vance start harping on this Talarico hospital thing, it’s useful to know where it started.

That’s literally the point of the screenshotted thread.

This isn’t true at all. He asked a bunch of questions to the propagators of the fake story that made them look like moronic liars & possibly implicated them in criminal activity.

Him getting the self-admitted liars to implicate themselves in criminal activity is a pretty big story. Especially when the lie they were pushing was boosted by the wealthiest man in the world and top Trump admin officials.

This doesn’t really seem like an accurate description of him in 2026.

He was literally on the space calling the propagators of it liars.

This story is obviously fake and devs are all using enterprise accounts for a reason.

It didn’t. This is obviously fake.

Musk isn’t Jewish and is extremely antisemitic himself.

Jack @pumpndumpkicks.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
No, my take is “adding an Israeli flag to a post attacking data centers is thinly-veiled antisemitism, not opposition of Israel.” And no, data centers in the US have no coherent connection to Israel.

Jack @pumpndumpkicks.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
No one is defending Israel here. The point is adding the Israeli flag to a post criticizing data centers (which have zero coherent connection to Israel) feels like poorly-veiled antisemitism instead of a critique of Israel.

“Cannot comprehend the concepts it is exposed to to any extent it isn’t explicitly allowed to” accurately describes 95% of humanity.

I think machine learning is learning. I have no idea what you think it is.

Or perhaps it’s because $20 is less than $200.

You don’t think machine learning is real?

Why would I pay hundreds of dollars for golf lessons when I can get 90% of the value from a $20 ChatGPT subscription?

Yea let’s just get rid of doctors. Specialized knowledge isn’t real, just watch enough YouTube videos and figure it out yourself.

If you want to reverse the trade, fine. But you’re the one who’s going to have to break the news to the tens of millions of people you’re giving a death sentence to.

There are a million different things that can cause a golf swing to result in poor outcomes; I could not figure out which thing was what I was doing wrong. A Youtube video or book will never replicate the value ChatGPT provided me. Only a golf coach could, and they are WAY more expensive.

It means a lot to the 30 million people who would have died from AIDS if the US didn’t step in to save their lives.

Jack @pumpndumpkicks.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
It uses no more resources than anything else I do on my computer. And requires zero theft to train. While the value it provides is gigantic.

A YouTube video doesn’t critique my swing and tell me what I’m doing wrong. So no, I won’t be doing that. Stop using Bluesky if you’re concerned about diminishing access to clean water.

They are not experiencing pollution so long as the data center does not have on-site turbines.

And none of that stops someone from eating 3,000 calories of cheeseburgers a day and developing serious health problems. I know you Luddites are dumb as rocks but please refrain from having opinions this stupid in the future.

Jack @pumpndumpkicks.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
As long as it doesn’t have on-site turbines, sure, who cares? I can look out my window and see a data center right now.

Nah. I value my time too much for that:

In my experience, I’ve observed limitations on the accuracy of LLMs getting exponentially smaller over the past 3 year. Which again is why it’s bizarre you think someone saying “Opus 5.5 is better than Claude 1” is a deflection.

How is cheeseburger consumption regulated?

The Mansfield data center is once again construction-related issues, not data center-related issues.

The end result is identical. Any my Claude subscription is enterprise, so the input isn’t being used for training. And even if it was, that screws over my employer, not me.

That’s my argument lol
110
Jack @pumpndumpkicks.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Sure. The data center isn’t operating when the site is under construction, so it definitionally does not count. If all your examples are from construction companies polluting water supplies, you should be advocating for better-regulating construction companies. The data center piece is irrelevant.
