Jade Velfire is a wonderful person. She's kind, funny and brilliant. She's worked hard to surround herself with a community of equally vibrant and wonderful people. I'm really proud to have met you all.

In the time I've known her, I've seen her do incredible things and support so many people. I've heard her talk about her dreams and passions. One day, she'll achieve them and she deserves them.

I've been banned from that community after an argument. It was a cold ban, the out-on-your-ass kind, so I can't tell you why with any clarity. But usually, we tend to think of the person who was banned as being guilty. And, given that I've been banned from a bunch of places this year without any explanation... *shrug*. Maybe I deserve it. Maybe I just have sour vibes. Yucky.

There's no twist here.

I'm a good person, but they don't give out PhDs for best intentions or well wishes. You have to be good *at* being a person.

The fact that I'm being nice in the wake of being banned doesn't make me look any better. It makes me look suspicious, deceptive, weak or spineless. We're trained for conflict, so grace looks as stupid as defiance. But it's not. It's just how I feel, and that's the end of it. I genuinely wish I'd been lucky enough to be born as someone else; someone who, all things considered, could have become Jade's friend for life. I wasn't, that's not how things were meant to be. It's a bit shit, really.

However, I hate dirt on people. I don't hold grudges well. I genuinely believe in love and I hope you -- the people in the forest who are close to her -- take as much care of each other as you can.

I want you to be kind to me, too. I'm a strange creature, and you aren't like me. But I don't deserve pain, and the power dynamic is not in my favour.

Hmm, game choice system based around "hotpoint proximity". Game runs on autopilot. If you don't move the cursor, they will make choices based on their instincts. Choices appear as hotpoints, and you steer them towards a choice you prefer, but they may fight you if their desire or fear is strong.

Game tutorial where the tutor is an NPC who reels off the instructions and rules with by-the-book efficiency. You walk around with a party of NPCs who sometimes ask them questions. You never get this again. If you need a refresher, you have to ask the, slower, more confused, stressed-out intern.

One of the reasons I was always so unreasonably happy with this video is because the audio and video were edited separately but in tandem, across multiple programs, so making them feel like they matched up and complimented each other was hard but really worth it. youtu.be/0IiI1_m7LQs?...
