October at SeaTac started out with an average high of 66 and an average low of 50. By October 31st, the average high drops to 56 and the average low drops to 44. Will we exceed expectations this month? #wawx

Something I hope we don't have to deal with again during the 2027 water year. The absurd lack of snowpack in the Pacific Northwest region. The black line was the observed snow-water equivalent. Yikes. #wawx

Want to know how the 2026 water year did? It too was a mixed bag. In comparison to the 1991-2020 climate period, the Hood Canal was the driest and the North Cascades were the wettest in Washington! #wawx #climate #wateryear

September finished cooler for much of Washington state. The precipitation percentage was more of a mixed bag. The east side did better than the west! Who would've guessed? #wawx

13 years ago today, a deep mid-latitude cyclone in the GOA would eject toward the Pacific Northwest. A couple days later, a smaller low would merge into the flow on the southwest side, eventually turning into a bomb cyclone off our coast. Do you remember? #wawx
