Pudding (sweet) 🍮 @puddingdraws-sfw.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Some tools of the trade ✨ #artprocess #traditionalart

A photograph of an open sketchbook on top of an adjustable artist's slope. On it are strewn various art tools, framing two sketches and a rendered illustration. More detailed information below:

One .7mm and one .5mm mechanical pencil, both using 2B graphite.
Two smudging tools (a tube of tightly rolled paper shaped like a pen, for softening and shading) of differing sizes.
One white gel ballpoint pen, sometimes used for highlighting or otherwise making white values pop against the off-white paper.
Two kneaded erasers, one still wrapped and one well-used.
On top of the wrapped kneaded eraser is a packet of refills for a machine eraser (not pictured).

The two sketches and finished drawing are of Airy, the mischiecoud fairy character from Bravely Default.

If you're curious, other things that can be glimpsed in the photo include a jigsaw puzzle depicting one of Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mt Fuji, and an apple.
