Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Well I'm not going to show you my bank statement. But you coild look here: www.gov.uk/new-state-pe...gov.ukThe new State PensionHow to get and claim your State Pension, State Pension age - for men born on or after 6 April 1951 and women born on or after 6 April 1953. 100
Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I don't really understand this. I sit (and walk around) in my garden naked quite often. I have sensible neighbours but, if they weren't and decided to report me, I know that I am not breaking any law. 100
Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 05/10/2026So the only criterion for voting at the Green Conference is that you have paid to be there? You're not a delegate from your local branch? And this motion is now binding on the party? And the leader decided to absent himself from the debate? Good grief. They haven't adapted well from a fringe group. 000
Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 05/10/2026My state pension is £965.20 every 4 weeks. This equates to £1045 per month. It's not a fortune but let's get the facts right. Labour has pledged that the state pension will not be taxed. Private pensions, like other income, are taxed, they were built up with tax relief. 120
Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Quite apart from the societal good (which I wouldn't expect a current-day Tory to recognise), arts and music are major export earners. Britain punches far above its weight in the the arts. 030

Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I was also born in 1957. Separating that being a teenager is obviously (for most) a great time. But, objectively, I could leave one job on a Friday and have a new one on Monday. If I'd taken the university route then it would have been free. And you could see the Rolling Stones for about £1.50. 050
Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026At what level do you define "rich"? How much more tax will they have to pay? How much will this generate per year? 000

Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Don't put words in my mouth. I knew about the Railways Bill. I did not know that rolling stock ownership was included, mainly because whenever rail renationalisation is mentioned someone pops up and says "what about the ROSCOs?". I don't do Tik Tok. 100
Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 29/09/2026The fact that, who takes a reaonably close interest in these things, did not know this was already underway, perhaps justifies its new emphasis. I can't have been the only one. 100
Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Wanting to bypass Parliamentary debate is common to all governments, going back to the divine right of kings. Boris Johnson even prorogued Parliament to evade it. But I bow to your superior knowledge on the history of Fabianism. It's obviously something about which you care deeply. 100

Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 27/09/2026My experience of the Fabians has been that they're well-meaning, middle-class centre lefties. They remind me a little of Quakers. Why has the extreme right suddenly got it in for them? 5110

Tony @puckoon.bsky.social · 13/09/2026The gaps weren't there to benefit the commentators but rather the other way around. The stage has to be reset between performances to accommodate the piano or dancers or whatever. And, of course, the conductor has to leave the stage between every piece for some reason. The concert is shown live. 100
