I feel like Cryptor was generally flanderised: His quips are gone and he is a lot more “pure evil” now.

@docwyattbeyond.bsky.social Finally finished Season 4 (it was great) and now I have a question: What would happen if the Department of Reassignment wrongly sent two people to the Never Kingdoms?

Book 9 of 2026: “Three Bags Full” by Leonie Swann. Yeah, most of you probably don’t know that “The Sheep Detectives” is based on a German book (with TWO sequels). It was a fun book with too much filler for my liking. Still: I’m curious to watch the movie. #BookSky #Mystery #Sheep #Review

Book 8 of 2026: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by Joanne Katherine Rowling. On first read, I found it just okay, but now knowing how it ends, it’s fun to find all the foreshadowing in here. Yet, it does still have pacing issues and first-installment-weirdness. Like it anyway! #Booksky

Rewatching Sons of Garmadon rn and something about the way Nya's written rubs me the wrong way. It feels like when writers make the girl character super tough and averse to anything feminine or just pretty in general because they can't be sending the message that anyone girly can also be strong.

I think they should never have killed him. The way it is now, Mr. E is basically just the Ninjago equivalent to Snoke from the awful Star Wars Sequel trilogy: A villain set up as a great mystery only to then be killed off before we found out anything about him.

Book 7 of 2026: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury A well-written 50s dystopia that still holds up today. It handles how mindless entertainment turns us into mindless drones. However, there is also another less talked about theme: The meaning of human relationships. Please read this book! #BookSky

It’s been a while… Here’s Book 6 of 2026: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck. Spontaneously decided to reread it and it holds up. Not all the jokes landed this time, but the story of Greg looking for friends while finding the value of family was very touching. #WimpyKid #Return #BookSky

#booksky #oopsie #classicauthor I forgot to add one book to my diary. Recently, I also finished “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. It was good. The metaphor was not nearly subtle enough and a lot of it makes no sense, but the characters were mostly great and the social commentary is fascinating.

A red cover showing a windmill on a hill where an angry pig walks by. The title is “Animal Farm”, the author George Orwell. Next to the title, there are also two chickens. The rest is designed like the edge of a sign.

Book 4 of 2026: The Secret History by Donna Tartt A great book that tells a whodunnit in reverse: From the prologue, you already know the killer. So you don’t ask who, but why? And what happened after it? I am a little mixed on the ending though because it portrays a certain person too heroically

A book with the title “The Secret History”, written by Donna Tartt. The cover is mostly text, but shows a little picture of a deer being slaughtered by a woman (That should tell you how family-friendly this is.).

Martin Luther messed up by founding a heretic religion, Christianity is nearly ununifiable. It WAS possible to create one unified Bible translation in Germany, but that’s because there are fewer denominations in Germany (we have no Anglicans, for example).

ptothejay.bsky.social @ptothejay.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

Who is “they”? If you can’t answer this question or name your source, I am going to assume that it’s fake. And one unified English Bible is pretty difficult considering the hundreds of Protestant denominations have different views on what to translate and how to translate it. Basically, since

Instead, slavery was dissolved gradually. In the Old Testament, the situation of slaves was already far better than before

Nope. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Kind of how atheists use the same arguments over and over again, even after theologians refuted them.

There is no correct one-to-one translation. Remember: The Old Testament was written in Hebrew, then translated into Greek, then translated again into Latin and from there into all other languages. Getting the original formulations is basically impossible. But it is possible to understand the basic
