@docwyattbeyond.bsky.social Finally finished Season 4 (it was great) and now I have a question: What would happen if the Department of Reassignment wrongly sent two people to the Never Kingdoms?

Book 9 of 2026: “Three Bags Full” by Leonie Swann. Yeah, most of you probably don’t know that “The Sheep Detectives” is based on a German book (with TWO sequels). It was a fun book with too much filler for my liking. Still: I’m curious to watch the movie. #BookSky #Mystery #Sheep #Review

A book cover with eleven sheep in a huddle, five of them being lambs. It resembles the film poster to “The Sheep Detectives”.

Book 8 of 2026: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by Joanne Katherine Rowling. On first read, I found it just okay, but now knowing how it ends, it’s fun to find all the foreshadowing in here. Yet, it does still have pacing issues and first-installment-weirdness. Like it anyway! #Booksky

Rewatching Sons of Garmadon rn and something about the way Nya's written rubs me the wrong way. It feels like when writers make the girl character super tough and averse to anything feminine or just pretty in general because they can't be sending the message that anyone girly can also be strong.

Book 7 of 2026: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury A well-written 50s dystopia that still holds up today. It handles how mindless entertainment turns us into mindless drones. However, there is also another less talked about theme: The meaning of human relationships. Please read this book! #BookSky

A book cover with an eye surrounded by what appears to be sunrays. The Text reads “Ray Bradbury Fahrenheit 451”.

It’s been a while… Here’s Book 6 of 2026: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck. Spontaneously decided to reread it and it holds up. Not all the jokes landed this time, but the story of Greg looking for friends while finding the value of family was very touching. #WimpyKid #Return #BookSky

A green Book cover with the title “Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Hard Luck” and a picture of a boy being rained upon with Magic 8 Balls while trying to save himself with a book.

#booksky #oopsie #classicauthor I forgot to add one book to my diary. Recently, I also finished “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. It was good. The metaphor was not nearly subtle enough and a lot of it makes no sense, but the characters were mostly great and the social commentary is fascinating.

A red cover showing a windmill on a hill where an angry pig walks by. The title is “Animal Farm”, the author George Orwell. Next to the title, there are also two chickens. The rest is designed like the edge of a sign.

Book 4 of 2026: The Secret History by Donna Tartt A great book that tells a whodunnit in reverse: From the prologue, you already know the killer. So you don’t ask who, but why? And what happened after it? I am a little mixed on the ending though because it portrays a certain person too heroically

A book with the title “The Secret History”, written by Donna Tartt. The cover is mostly text, but shows a little picture of a deer being slaughtered by a woman (That should tell you how family-friendly this is.).

Book 3 of 2026: “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne. Not my first time reading the book, but I enjoyed it even more on reread. Passepartout and Phileas Fogg are a great duo because they are different, but equally likeable. It makes the book both funny and fascinating to read. #BookSky

A book with the written words “In 80 Tagen um die Welt”, which translates to “In 80 days around the world”.
The cover pictures show the main characters on the back of an elephant and someone riding a hot air balloon.

Book 2 of 2026: The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I LOVED this series when I first read it at what was probably too young of an age. Turns out it still holds up! Reread in preparation for a YouTube video. Stay tuned! #booksky #themazerunner #underrated #comingsoon

We see a hand holding a book with the text “Die Auserwählten im Labyrinth”, which is German for “The Chosen Ones in the Maze”.
This is the translated title of “The Maze Runner”, James Dashner’s most famous book.
The cover shows the silhouette of a Teenager entering a mysterious entrance between two gigantic walls.

I have decided to split my first video into two parts. I am not happy with that decision myself, but I have no choice because Part 1 by itself is already a little… long.

#BookSky #BookReview Book 1 of 2026 “The Tomcat and the Man of Iron” is a German crime story that is mostly targeted towards teens, but can be enjoyed by adults for its serious themes and slow pace. The killer’s reveal is very disappointing, but the rest of the cast works and its drama hooked me.

A book with the German title “Der Kater und der Mann aus Eisen”, which roughly translates to “The Tomcat and the Man of Iron”.
The cover shows a man in a blue jacket running away from something unseen.
