I love it how @ljs makes an attempt at restoring real English. For example, »schloppen« sounds almost like a word by Chaucer: And smale folkes maken melodye That schloppen al the nyght with open ye (So priketh hem nature in hir corages).

This is exactly what it's like to cycle in the UK.

A narrow street with monstrous cars parked on the pavement on both sides and another car driving down the centre. Drivers of all cars are shouting at cyclists about how they're inconveniencing them or posing a danger to others.
