So the Senate Reconciliation Bill is basically privatizing the American West. www.wilderness.org/articles/med... wilderness.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant...
A map titled "Public lands eligible for sale in the Senate Reconciliation Bill" shows areas in the western United States that could be sold off according to proposed legislation. The map covers parts of the western and southwestern U.S., including states like California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Color-coded overlays indicate two types of public land eligible for sale:

Orange areas represent BLM (Bureau of Land Management) lands eligible for sale.

Green areas represent USFS (United States Forest Service) lands eligible for sale.

A legend in the top-right corner labels these categories and notes the inclusion of 119th Congressional District boundaries (outlined in dashed gray lines).

Large swaths of orange and green are visible, especially across:

Nevada and Utah (dense orange BLM land coverage),

Eastern Oregon and Washington, parts of Idaho and western Colorado (mixed green and orange),

Northern Arizona and New Mexico (primarily green),

Western Montana and the Sierra Nevada region in California (green for USFS lands).

Geographical landmarks and cities such as Salt Lake City, Denver, San Francisco, and Portland are labeled. The map uses data from various agencies including Esri, USGS, USFS, NOAA, and the Census Bureau. It is powered by Esri GIS software.
