I would call immediately and say I felt intimidated by their presence. But, who takes the call? Will anyone note the call? Can the states do anything?

Has anyone thought to find the person(s) taking both pictures of Mitch McConnell to verify his status? Does that person even exist?

I have a question. I know why they are holding them - the private concentration camps make money. But isn’t the “goal” of immigration to return them to their country? So many people want them out, so why are we keeping them on our soil? Other than to give money to his buddies?

I attended a “reunion” today with women who I attended school with and played sports. I graduated in 1979, all girls school. There were several years represented. The best part, was my volleyball coach attending the reunion, and me being able to tell her that I am now a volleyball coach!

It’s a given that we will teach students of parents who we taught or know outside of the classroom. I’ve taught 3 students of parents whom I worked with at my part time job, and will add another this year, and the granddaughter of a HS classmate. Not to mention all the siblings!

Every single utility company is asking the same thing. It’s only a big deal because it’s Mamdani. Just like in 2020 when the dust storm blew through and OMG it was crazy, but it just happened and no one said a word about it, except a meteorologist in my state, because it happens every year!

I spent $85 just for one meal and dog treats. My son and granddaughter were visiting. We had 3way spaghetti tacos. I’ll be eating ramen and mac and cheese all summer until we return to school in August.

I responded to a post on the book about the SC’s transgender decision. They referenced females now being safe unattended in locker rooms. I commented “just don’t leave them unattended in the Oval Office”. 99% of the negative responses (and downright nasty) comments were from males? I was surprised.

I hate driving. I also hate riding in cars driven by other people. I WANT to sit in the backseat so I can’t see traffic. Every time I get in a car, I have this irrational fear of being involved in a wreck. I know I drive like an old lady (I have for years), but this can’t be normal. Is it just me?

Younger students didn’t know how to skirt the system. The older kids play the game. I teach high school and see it every day. They expect to be given answers because they weren’t held accountable. I truly believe the scores will go up as the younger students get older.

I was introduced to “Unwind” by N Shusterman in 2018. The kids loved it. I brought it to my new school, and the last year I was allowed to use it (due to Lexile), I had kids buying the series. The content matters.

I use an AI detector and show it to the student. Some say using AI to prove AI is wrong, but the kids openly admit it once they know I know. Then I show them the difference between their work and plagiarism. It’s actually a great teaching moment.

When they allow students to actually read full length books instead of excerpts and/or short texts, reading scores will improve. Bring back silent sustained reading. In my school, if we get observed and students are “just” reading a book, it’s a mark against us.
