I've grown up with manga all my life and even though it also uses tones, there's something about ink and black and white that I find fascinating no matter what... it feels like home

I didn't plan to be so quiet over here, but I burned out from writing my Chronos childhood fanfic and I've been healing by obsessing over another thing 🥲 I also have, like, 0 ideas currently. I don't feel confident to post about the other thing I'm obsessed about.

I remember how harder it was to already look up specific stuff when MV rolled around for 2k/3, nowadays it's even worse and with RPGMakerWeb gone, it will be fucking impossible to find anything anymore.

Even if I wanted to take screenshots of what I need or make PDFs out of the print function, it would take FOREVER. The forum shaped more than a decade of resources and bonds for the older engines. Pathetic.

Okay WHAT THE FUCK. Just recently I had downloaded VXA again after years of not touching it. Of course, I needed refreshers and hopped on the forum to search for stuff. This is fucking bullshit

Franklin Parthenope @prth-franklin.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

... Just realized this wasn't about Ren'py specifically but yeah, I totally share the sentiment. Wish we didn't have to look into things so hard every single time!

010 0

Franklin Parthenope @prth-franklin.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

That said, I have read that there is a version that didn't push AI into ren'py, so that would be worth checking out?

110 0

Franklin Parthenope @prth-franklin.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Something I've been learning, and it's honestly so fucking sad and frustrating, is that we will have to compromise one way or another. With the rush of pushing AI everywhere and any "questionable decisions" at some point it would be hard to find something that really appeals to our ethics 😔

Imbrium update! Rating bumped to E for gay fish sex archiveofourown.org/works/742011...

screencap of a text excerpt:

'Oceanus had become the seat of culture within the Underworld since the deposition of the usurper Hades and his pampered family. In an effort to secure power, particularly in his weakest years, when he was a stranger in a land he did not yet know, Father had invested significantly in the arts.

"They need not like me," he had explained to Meritates, offering her a slice of mango from his knife, so luscious and yellow as to be a peel of sun, "for I, too, am a tyrant, and moreover shall be more despotic than Hades ever was. They need only like what I provide. And I assure you, as trifling as these amusements may seem, little moon, I am wise to provide them."'

First-time players usually take longer to finish a game! At least, that's what I also experienced when playing myself!

Not sure how writers bridge the gap between imagination and text. How do you? I can visualize and see scenes perfectly but then they are stupid written down. Mystery. Writing is harder than what non-writers think!

Something that I had noticed when I looked at this a second time is that Chronos's face is split in half, which is a perfect rendition of his mood swings and how unstable he is

I am and always will be an artist first. To tell you the truth, writing is incredibly hard to me and does not come as easily as visualizing a sequence of events in my mind in every single detail. Still, it will be fun trying to juggle art and writing now...

I haven't publicized it at all here, so let me remedy that: I have written a fanfiction featuring Chronos and narrated by him! My first ever about him and Hades 2 in general, but hopefully not the last (I am cooking something *bigger* meanwhile)

To all our Hades II players, thank you for journeying with us to the Underworld and beyond!🌖 We hope you've enjoyed it at least as much as Melinoë enjoys a trip to the old fishing pier. Our animator Craig Harris created this little scene.🎣🐸😾

I've always been fascinated with this thought, the concept of "lovers to enemies" or just anything that has two people caring for each other suddenly hating and wanting the other dead has so much hidden potential!
