Following his performance on GNX I knew he was one to pay attention to, and I'm glad I did. God's Favorite tops out for me. Look Like my Mama, Rock Bottom, and Hateful + Ungrateful are also really good. 8/10 No Rest for the Wicked - Az Chike

As an update: DSP is not playing a character and I'm so mad I thought he was. Not only is he like that, but he, more importantly, has learnt nothing.

the challenge is moving the lamp in the "keyhole" to other places that still lights the "keyhole" which was proven to be impossible. But that's ok.

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Alt-rock/shoegaze. Its not bad by any means but certainly not a "must listen". Brackish Waters might be my favorite. As I was listening I kept thinking about how cool it would be if Red Vox covered it. I think they may even do it better. Too short/10 Jack Timber - Wood

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Too short to rate but if you are looking for the platonic ideal of shoegaze, this is standing nearby waving madly at you. Lillies and Sea is my favorite track but this thing has no skips. Attic Ocean - retriever

Excellent variety. They randomly opted to slip into some Nightlife sound in DARK GAME which made it an instant highlight to my ears. Tracks 3 and 5 didn't hit for me. The final track is truly one to behold. I'll get their first LP at some point. 8/10 GLHF - muque

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Short, sweet, and swings a home run consistently. The 1 is my least favorite track. The rest are excellent. I love being at the ground floor for stuff. 8/10 DOPE! - muque

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

(I found the cover amusing ok). 8 Tracks, half is normal, the other half runs on 2x so its 4 songs. Originals sound better. 2/4 are heat and its the backhalf. Too short to give a rating to but its 4 bucks and worth it. this sh*t ain't nothing to me man. - radicule

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

The word is "cacophony". It overwhelms for most of its runtime and you're glad for it. Give it a chance, its dangerously addictive. I liked everything besides Charity Dinner and 200 bottles. Jump in the car and go fast. Literally jump. 9/10 Theft World - Lip Critic

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Even kilter of fun and serious through its crisp runtime, I enjoyed one track is just two minutes of gassing Rock up. Deserved, of course. I found Evolution to be the weakest. The Burgers is probably my favorite. 7/10 Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman - Miami Lice Season Four

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Front to back musical sunshine. Flyers is of course the showstealer but Sunday is awesome as well. Chocolate Flavor and Flash Light Baby are merely ok. Takaaki Shingyoji is an enviable vocalist. Long may you reign. 8/10 Bradio - Power of Life

I ran down a rabbit hole yesterday and I don't want it to go to waste. So. This is Jamiroquai. The band. It's a band and not just a man. Note the two men wearing very colorful jackets. Now, I can hear you and you are saying "wow! Those are really cool jackets!" And you're right! They are!

I'll very likely spend Saturday really diving in if nothing interrupts me. So it'll probably be Saturday night cuz that's how it goes. Nothing gets done without my direct intervention.

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

I have done this again, and this is a snippet but I got 2.5 hours of music queued up and ready. Don't ask me why artist names repeat. I've tried to fix it. I dunno why it does that cuz if I knew I wouldn't have to mention this.

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 07/06/2026

Not final by any means but there is some sort of potential here. The Argos done correctly, offer some additional humor if able to go off, and some nice protection if not. Its an amusing inclusion that could be yours, for the low low cost of one heroic call.

Alright, this feels like home. Needs a sense of direction still but, its home.

Solid lyrical artistry front to back. Aes at some of his finest. I wasn't crazy about Lazy Eye or Water Tower. Blood Sandwich and Supercell are excellent. Rings is a clinic too. He's legitimately funny. The skill is immeasurable. 8/10 Aesop Rock - The Impossible Kid

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

Super solid, and not even the least bit proggy; which is sometimes just what you need. Its refreshing. Thing is great until track 6, after which things slide off and crash at cortisol, which is my least favorite. Vocals are to be praised. 7/10 Culture Wars - Don't Speak

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 23/03/2026

Hollywood Forever, Music, and Lovefield are weak but everything else is a triumph. Wish U Well in particular succeeds in everything it tries to do and then some. Extremely well thought out and it's a vibe so many are gonna mess with. That's just for starters. underscores - U 9/10

You just pull this out, and let the watch "stand" sit on top. get yourself a USB-A to USB-C dongle (dime a freakin' dozen), plug it into the bottom, wrap the cable around, plug them in and you're done. best product of all time. it doesn't fast charge. It doesn't need to. Set it. Forget it.

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

Sturgill took out his guitar said "check this out" and shredded for 41 minutes straight. A Good Look reigns supreme but Make Art not Friends, Fastest Horse in Town, and Sing Along are great too. Best Clockmaker on Mars was just ok 9/10 Sturgill Simpson - Sound and Fury

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

The majority falls into the background and colors whatever you're doing. It's a really fun album but doesn't command your attention much Under Age's Song, Pull Up Roots, 陽はまたのぼりくりかえす, and Iceman are the highlights 7/10 Dragon Ash - Buzz Songs

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

Drumming is absurd and vocals are sometimes brilliant but I was mostly left not really feeling much. Drunkship and Eriatarka especially are real triumphs. Cicatriz ESP has a bunch of good moments also. 5/10 The Mars Volta - De-Loused at the Comatorium

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

here's the plane if anyone cares. Before this I would proceed to make a flurry of edits to the wings and I'm still not happy with it. But its close. Its very very close.

000

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

they tried to fix it with this sucker which is cool except for the part where that means you'd need to run a level 3-4 tuner to summon this piece of poop and then the poop in question does not do a whole lot on its own either. yes you can tease out sky fire but see he's bad too.

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

this is summon reactor SK btw. I will now talk about why this is bad 1. it is a level 5 so it requires a tribute to summon 2. it does not have any special summoning conditions 3. it needs the other two reactors to do anything useful 4. none of the reactors are searchable in it of themselves

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

I called it Flying Fortress SKY FIRE because of course I did. you may be wondering if this card is good no. it is not. by any stretch. but the art is cool I wish konami would retrain my world war 2 planes.

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 10/02/2026

This has also changed the stuff I write about. I'm currently mulling over a piece about goal setting; tying in Cinderella Grey as all normal people do, and I'm insisting upon including portions where it's mentioned how you actually apply that. Or, just making it relevant to the current goings on

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 09/02/2026

I do not parse Spanish so much of what is discussed is beyond me but I can admire a vibe and this thing is full to bursting. It makes me long for warmer times. We WILL be bumping this loud out the car. Perfumito Nuevo, Veldá, Café con Ron, and Eoo are great. 7/10 Bad Bunny - Debí Tirar Más Fotos

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 07/02/2026

Its an EA game and it feels like it. Really unusual levels of depth in some areas whilst others feel mostly half-baked. Crafting system is original and nice. Factory aspect is extremely okay at best. EA/10 The Last Caretaker

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

Something of a grail for me. It does not consistently bang but when it does, the shot is heard round the world. Machine Civilization is the crown jewel. Aquarius and Tax Haven Remix also show up to save the day. Genki is an artist. It's there cuz he wants it to be. 6/10 WORLD ORDER - 2012

Destiny 2 but the devs are more communicative

There are many kinds of singing voices, I felt Vin never really knew how to use his until now. Nirvana is a valid approach. Reminds me..., Remember, Long Ago, and Memory Loss are awesome. This is the Red Vox I wanna be hearing into the future. Thank you Vinny. You did it. 8/10 Red Vox - Retcon

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

Synths freeze the lake, Chibis voice pierces it, and the blood spills forth. Weekend, To Die For, and Kill the Lights stand out. Its namesake and Holiday show that Chibi's voice has a limit and this cannot be masked. Nor do they try to. 8/10 The Birthday Massacre - Walking with Strangers

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 10/01/2026

I'm probably going to reduce this significantly but this gets you Zaborg simply and easily. Turn 2 this could be really funny. Not good, but funny.

100

Lump Crabmeat @protocryphal.bsky.social · 10/01/2026

Satisfactory but with survival elements. It does some interesting things to make it slightly different from Satisfactory but, I dislike also having to survive. Not a good mix, as it turns out. If you're an aspiring game dev, please choose between "survival" or "factory". Thank you. Returned/10

Not quite done with this yet but I'm throwing it in here anyway Most of the new megas are inoffensive to disappointing. There might be 5 winners all told. Story is solid all things considered though, battles are enjoyable. I love you Corbeau 7/10 Legends ZA Mega Dimension DLC

CATCH-UP I took away perhaps too inspirations from this bad boy, but that only makes it better. I don't really watch anime, this thing was just super special to me. I doubt this'll happen again. Desperately need the box set. Inquire within. 9/10 Umamusume Cinderella Grey - Second Cour

CATCH-UP: Anthony Fantano pointed this album as a notable LP and I'm glad he did because it is excellent. This is an album that summons either: the beach, or the boat, and I'm so grateful for it. Notables: Stray Dog, Fun, Tip of your Tongue 8/10 Deki Alem - Forget In Mass
