I am thinking if we can start a collective in India that co-creates neurodivergent scholarship from within the particularities of the Indian subcontinent’s caste-class-gender-religion nexus. If there already exists one, I’d love to be a part of it, if not, maybe we can come together and build one.

Spent hours in a sports injury hospital today, getting an mri for a swollen and immobile wrist. Swollen due to typing. Good facility though. And completely free of cost. Thankfully!!

I am chairing the Area: Body, Fashion, and Popular Culture (NEPCA). Do consider sending in your abstracts, esp if you look at neurodivergent representations in fashion, ND bodymind in pop culture, or colonial, neo-colonial, neo-fascist, racist interjections and control of bodies through pop media.

I have heard that more clinicians are encouraging service users on their waiting lists to self-diagnose as autistic or with adhd. Its interesting as what began as a move to reclaim epistemic authority from clinicians is becoming a way for clinicians to outsource parts of their work to service users.

@durhamimh.bsky.social it would be nice if your finance department answered emails about reimbursements, I've been emailing since Aug alongside other fellows, many of us are independent scholars or students so this shit matters!

Have still been thinking about the conference. So many ideas, so many thoughts!! My body needs rest (so much rest!), my soul needs some love and care, but my mind refuses to stop racing.

As I await my flight back to Delhi, I cannot help but miss the amazing people I met at the Critical Neurodiversity Studies Conference. There was also a big, huggable something in the Sensory Den that became my proxy care giver in the absence of my care giver :( Will eat spicy kadi chawal at home 🤓
