Here’s one public aspect of our cutting edge methods for glycan and polysaccharide detection. The result: more confident characterisation leading to more successful projects.

🧵 We published GlyCombo in 2024 and it's still one of my favourite things we've built. Here's what it actually does and why it matters for glycomics labs. (1/4) #glycotime

Closing out the year at @proteaglyco.bsky.social with real momentum. We advanced native glycomics to reveal often-missed labile modifications, and saw global uptake of our GlyCombo software. Huge thanks to our team and collaborators, building towards an even more accelerated, high-impact 2026.

On my way to Lorne, Australia for #LorneProteomics2026. Looking forward to seeing the latest proteomics and glycomics advances. I’ll be presenting our glycomics platform that more truthfully describes the glycome resulting in greater glycopeptide identifications. Happy to meet up if you’re there!

Keen to share our latest work where we apply our native PGC-LC-MS glycan analysis workflow and see what is missed with traditional glycomics workflows (reduction or permethylation) Here, we found intact O-acetylation of sialic acids on N-glycans in mouse and rat sera www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Native PGC-LC-MS Profiling Reveals Distinct O-Acetylation Patterns of Sialylated N-Glycans Across Mammalian Sera
O-acetylation of sialic acids represents an additional layer of structural diversity and biological complexity, occurring at various hydroxyl positions (commonly C-7, C-8, or C-9) of the sialic acid r...

#ausomics was a great opportunity for Protea Glycosciences to share our recent advances in Glycomics and glycoproteomics and see the latest research across four Australian societies including @ozglyco.bsky.social. It was a productive conference and now we're looking forward to getting back to work.

Proud to announce our business relocation, our local beach. We’re committed to accelerating glycoscience, so where better to be based than a location where the glycans come to us. Our LC-MS service engineers are excited for the opportunities provided by this new location.

Excited to be presenting @proteaglyco.bsky.social's glycoproteomics workflow at Aus-Omics on Monday at the New Technologies session. We're bringing structure back to how we identify and report glycopeptides, plus we'll describe how our unique approach to glycan structure excels for glycopeptides.

We're just completing an R&D sprint to identify an LC additive that increases our glycan identifications 3x and enhances glycan charge states by up to 45%🚀. It's too early to publicly disclose its identity, but here's a results preview. Interested? Message or email us, we'd love to collaborate.
Manuscript figure describing our method for evaluating mobile phase additives for enhanced negative mode LC-MS of glycans. The results show different O-glycan compositions having up to 40% higher charge states.
