Men should be talking openly about prostate cancer. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Early prostate cancer often has no symptoms, know your risk and talk to your GP about having a simple PSA blood test.

Our Man Van travels across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex, taking free PSA testing out into local communities, but keeping it on the road comes at a cost. We’re looking for commercial sponsors to help towards fuel, maintenance, testing kits and our professional phlebotomists.

As it’s Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to share some of the research we’re helping to fund. Our Prostate Cancer Vaccine Appeal is supporting research at the University of Surrey into a vaccine that could help stop prostate cancer returning after surgery.

After Jeremy Clarkson and Lord Cameron spoke publicly about their prostate cancer diagnoses, thousands more men checked their own risk, with nearly 51,000 men using Prostate Cancer UK’s risk checker in the week after Jeremy Clarkson shared his diagnosis.

A huge WELL DONE and THANK YOU to Matt Fuery, who completed his August cycling challenge and smashed his £1,000 fundraising target for The Prostate Project! During August, Matt clocked an incredible 506.89 miles, spent longer than 43 hours in the saddle and climbed 11,404ft!
