Yes, thank you! 💚 Basically a lot of, if not most people are wearing/drawing untied medieval coifs, with the laces hanging out. However what sources we have available to us suggest that it was ALWAYS worn with the laces tied under the chin.

As pointed out by @docteurbagarre.bsky.social , I'm very much NOT into the visuals for The Odyssey I saw in the trailer, but I don't think making it a mycenaean reenactment fest would make it any better either. Trying to stick 100% to "historical accuracy" is an illusion and just as uncreative.

Okay so here's two Richards (2&3). Can you tell which one is from an upcoming, big budget historical movie, and which one is from a low budget, light hearted modern comedy?

Considering the context this year, it was especially heart-warming to hear so many different languages being spoken all around the Versailles gardens, with hundreds of reenactors coming from many different countries and you could tell everybody was having a great time despite the heat. (4/4)
