California is the world's 4th largest economy — and one party has controlled it for 60 of the last 65 years. That's not a healthy democracy, that's a monopoly on power. It's high time to break the monopoly, unfuck the system, and make #ProportionalRepresentation a reality.

We see this right now, both in the US by Republicans and in California by Democrats. Two-party systems result in one-party domination too often, destroying all checks and balances. Multi-party competition just works better. #ProportionalRepresentation #EndTheDuopoly #FairSeats #EndPolarization

The fix is proportional representation: a party's share of seats matches its share of votes. A party that wins 40 percent of the vote wins about 40 percent of the seats, so gerrymandered maps stop working. Our report, When Maps Don't Matter, shows how it would work. protectdemocracy.org/maps
