Lore accurate life of a guardsman in 40k. Really enjoying the demo of Warhammer Survivors.

Decided to treat myself for finishing up two years long campaigns with the alt cover of Ravenloft Horrors Within. Very impressed with the quality I must say

Considering I've been running a lot of sessions using the online book, thought I'd treat myself to the variant cover of Horrors within.

It's a little thing, but I've been selected as a Top DM for Start Playing. Honestly a little chuffed with myself.

Oh how I've been looking forward to listening to two ancient nerds bickering whilst the galaxy explodes

Still early days in my bizarre career as a Professional DM but this badge on Start Playing was a nice reminder I'm doing well. Counting players I've run games for in person I'm pretty sure the number is approaching 80-90

I like to live in my own private reality in which Cleese disappeared after Shrek 2, and no one knows what happened to him.

Another one night paint job for this Berserk inspired Warrior. Lot of fun using some new paints that really make the model pop #paintingminiatures

At what point do I just give in and start playing Necromunda?

First kinda successful attempt at NMM gold

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

This AK wine red might be my new favourite colour, with a turquoise blue contrast filter for depth. Also this Tiefling swashbuckler really is a vibe

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Finally finishing up and calling it good on Maximus, Merciless Gladiator. I really enjoy doing busts, you really get the soul of a character, and the large canvas to work on the skin tones #painting #miniaturepainting

This is one I finished today. A Hercules inspired barbarian that will be a gift to a friend.

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

It's been a while since I did but I genuinely believe this might be the best miniature I've painted. Sure the base is meh but damn

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

The joys of crackle paint. Starting to get through my back log and trying to learn how to make bases a little bit more interesting.

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Seriously, just look at this art! How could you not start plotting vile yet seductive monologues for the Dreadlords

Learning about this book has me desperate to do a horror campaign.

Becoming increasingly convinced that a lawsuit is going to erupt between GW and various 3D printer file sites like Makerworld,

000

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Bit of practice on this bust. Think I'm getting the hand on painting Skin tones.

010

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

So I'm seeing a lot of dumb talk about this image from 2021s #Horusheresy image being Ai since the hand looks to have too many fingers. It doesn't, that's his bloody thumb. Gauntlets do that.

010

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

Been a while since I've had a commission to make some prop or costume piece. Building the Witch King's Helm was both fun and aggravating in equal measure, so many spikey bits

Got myself an early birthday present, damn do I love the Cogfort! #AgeofSigmar

Painting a few display models for my D&D group characters now that the campaign is drawing to an end. Think a certain someone was taking the piss when he described his winged tiefling having a rainbow like pattern to their wings

Rarely if ever post my painting work these days, pretty proud how this turned out

So very close to releasing our "Night of the Bacci" adventure book for D&D. Inspired by our love for Greek Mythology, Night of the Bacci pits players against a cruel demi-god of Wine & Song. Putting this together with two of my best friends @matt-mckeown.bsky.social And Lucas has been a real joy.

Having a sort out of my paints with the new Skadis boards. This isn't even half my collection

010

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 25/11/2025

Can GW just release the models for Dark water separately from the boxed game? I'm not making the same mistake I did with cursed city, great models but the game just wasn't it.

010

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 23/11/2025

Wanted one of those Saturnine Praetors as I loved the look of them, must say though I hated building this little bastard. Some connections and angles are just wrong and I'm not bothering with some of the cables and cloaks

110

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 29/10/2025

Preparing models for the upcoming campaign I'll be running and there's going to be a lot of villains holding fists in the air during monologues

Should really get into the habit of posting stuff I make more often. Any way here are some pokeballs I made for Misha

020

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

I'm fairly negative about a lot of Alien Earth but episode 5 was huge fun and this little bastard has just stolen the show.

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 29/08/2025

Some times you just need to make a ancient greek themed Cryptex and accompanying riddle for your D&D players. There will be punishments for three incorrect answers

010

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 29/07/2025

Had a reminder that it's been 5 years since mid lockdown I got myself my very first miniatures. I've been poor ever since

000

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

Oh fuck a new "Mega" series. We knew it was coming of course but how many volumes you think this will be?

000

Rob From the Stone Shy Archive @proper-rob.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

So this explains GW cracking down on makers like Galactic Armoury. Was inevitable and I'm sure other creators are going to get hit with a C&D very soon
