There were a variety of choices in 2024: refuse to vote; support a pro-austerity candidate who was complicit in genocide and who vowed to continue it; support a pro-austerity fascist who vowed to continue the genocide; support a socialist party that promised to end the genocide. The history of the Democratic Party shows that there isn’t a single millimeter of progressive policy that would be improved if we vote for centrist Democrats. On the big issues: inequality, genocide, Medicare for All, a living wage, etc., centrist Democrats are the same as Republicans.
