Might as well post this here since I updated the main page "characters" section with this screenshot. Give @leobear-art.bsky.social some love for making this possible! And to think this is just a slice~ (Re-upload due to Loki missing his hair lol)

A showcase preview of the main four characters under House of Rhodes: Seb, Loki, Keiti, and Bruce.

It has been updated with a preview of the new sprites from the main four characters :3

All the original sprite designs will remain in the files if you wanna check them out uwu

Update: Seb's base sprites have been finished! Meaning, I can start uploading early access builds and holding play tests once I fully replace the old sprites with the new ones, or at least most of them. We're excited to show you the direction we went with!

That guy kinda looks like Kronos. He's not that magical canonically, but looks just as heavenly :3

Update: Made decent progress on chapter 2. Still no word from the man himself, but I think I finally have a real idea on the GUI design. Once I do a bit more work on the writing side of things, I'll get to blocking that out as well!

The next news/itch post will probably be the last update on the project before the next early access build releases. Something to the effect of "Heyyy, Seb has been fully redesigned and ready to be re-added to the VN like the others!" kind of announcement.

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

2027 could be the year for Exodus if things go smoothly. I personally wanna thank everyone working on and following the project along the way for many years. This has been a passion project since 2021 that was meant to be a tad bit smaller in size than I originally thought, but hey, dream big~!

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Normally the early access deal is a one and done payment on itch for all future builds, but I plan to do select play tests with peeps in a few FVN servers. These early access builds will be more frequent since I'm always going to be making changes all the way up until the public builds :3

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

But the focus is the script. Hoping to at least finalize MOST of chapter 2, and maybe redo a few scenes in the first chapter that didn't fit the pacing I was going for. Maybe even add new scenes entirely?

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

I decided to full focus on the writing side of things over the UI stuff since that's out of my control until Gumdrop Studios gets back to me. I blocked out a couple neat stuff that I may or may not show during the next early access build (is related ofc :3) 🧵

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Also, once Seb's new sprites are finished, I can finally update this section of the game page lol

000

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

As for the rest of the UI, no word from the man himself :/

000

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Made some progress with the GUI stuff. I won't spoil a lot, but the new menu is (hopefully) going to be a looping animation. Both the game, main, and gallery menu will loop and be in sync whenever you switch between the two. Usually it resets the video when you switch, but I fixed it :3

Why is everyone just radio silent or acting weird around me...? This kind of shit makes me super anxious, which makes writing a visual novel tedious as hell 🥹

Then we gotta move ALL our stuff back into the house after we finish the previous things mentioned. And THEN, get bed mattresses, get a damn desk, and Internet, all so I can finally sit down and get back to working on this VN 😂 Soooo I'll update y'all when that's done 😫

010

TheBlueFoxVN 🔞 @projectnovastudios.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

Scratch that. The hard part isn't over! Turns out that the people that lived here before us never properly cleaned the house. So the walls have a bunch of colored scribbles and decals from the original owner's kids. So we gotta scrub the walls! On top of that, we have to REPAINT them too. 🫩

Finally, after an exhausting trip across the country, we have finally moved into our new place! Our things don't arrive until later, so I don't have my setup or Internet yet. But it shouldn't be too long! The hard part is over!
