My main point (probably badly executed) is that I feel like, even if I hadn't already been gliding heavily into indie culture recently, all the recent shenanigans by corporate monolithic entertainment would have forced me there anyway.

#544: Into the west. projectionedge.com Mirror site: projectionedge.thecomicseries.com
Panel 1: Eamonn and Aiden ride alongside each other towards a sunset.
Eamonn: If only I'd stopped long ago, you wouldn't have been caught in the middle of all this...

Panel 2: Eamonn: I can't undo what's been done, but I *CAN* promise you'll never have to deal with me again.

Panel 3: In a wide overhead shot, Aiden pulls his reins and halts his horse as Eamonn slowly rides ahead.

Panel 4: Aiden and his horse stand still. Aiden stares ahead, wide-eyed.

Panel 5: From behind, we see Eamonn's horse come to a stop.

Panel 6: Eamonn looks slightly behind him with sad resignation.

Panel 7: Close up of Eamonn from behind.
Eamonn: You'll have to go now. You know that, don't you?

Panel 8: Aiden (benignly): ... Yes, *I* know.

If it gets boring, there's this weirdass comic about a bunch of puppy dogs who have discovered an exciting yet pernicious new plane of existence. It's occasionally interesting, I hear.

When you really, really want the audience to do the work and infer a character's inner thoughts and moods. To prove you can show and not tell the emotional beat. I have one such panel appearing tomorrow that I really love.

I'm sure it's an "in" thing, similar to how some in the black community occasionally use the n-word-that-ends-in-"a" with each other. I think the ultimate philosophy is to "mock" the negative power the word has, but you have to be in the zone and thus a comrade to do so.

Internet's not working yet and after a sleepless night I was too tired to cope with calling the provider, let alone setting up the computer. This means yet again I may have to update the comic only on Bluesky and Mastodon by phone this week. People on Tumblr or Cara will think I've died.

Hey so, with Book 3 just waiting for the beta reader reviews, I've decided to drop the price of the ebook of Book 1 to $1.99 (or local equivalent) The price should show up in the stores in however long it takes them to update. books2read.com/b/IntoTheNev...

You know, if I could go back in time and talk to Joan Ganz Cooney and Jim Henson, I'd tell them to stop using those creepy electronic sounds in "Sesame Street" segments. Talk about a Tangerine Nightmare.
