f the Joyces had had abortions, they would be in prison. But not for killing actual, living children. If such an easily preventable death of an innocent child occurs again, I hope a prosecutor is willing to press charges, all the way up to the ID Supreme Court. This law must be invalidated.

It's amazing, and almost incredible, that Trump and Harp haven't responded directly in words or behavior. I had expected Harp to stand back a bit - not as many trips sitting within 2 seats of Trump, or a change in dress to a more Nancy Reagan look. But no - they don't care. Net even a smidgeon.

One of these enterprising videographers should start one of these pedo-stings with a zoom in on the White House, and then on Mar-a-Lago. The voice over would say that they were unable to capture him due to the many armed federal agents & DoJ lawyers protecting him.

The question on my mind, and likely that of many other readers': does his audience actually believe *any* of the lies he's pushing? I think they are split-brained: they know that the economy is bad, we're laughed at by allies, etc. But they also want to believe in the tooth-fairy - so they do.

FYI: In 1992, Entertainment Tonight caught a 46 year-old Trump on camera speaking to an estimated 10 year-old girl near an elevator,saying "I'm going to be dating her in 10 years. Can you believe it?" Trump clearly misspoke. He meant 5 years.

the death penalty is randomly applied, often through prejudice; and it is *significantly* more expensive to enforce relative to a life sentence (even without parole). It is almost always 'righteous indignation' or politics by a prosecutor, rather than justice sought. The death penalty is a waste.

I don't have any inherent moral outrage about state executions. I think, for example, that Timothy McVeigh was justly executed. There was no aspect of rehabilitation or dissuasion, merely simple justice. But the reality is that many people are wrongly convicted (sometimes via willful misconduct);

Economist analysis of more than 3,000 US counties finds that in reliably GOP counties, annual deaths now exceed births by 0.4 per 1k residents, while in reliably Democratic counties, births exceed deaths by 2.8 per 1k. Population growth in the GOP counties is largely driven by internal migration.
