I have purchased Obamacare for my young adult sons, whose jobs do not provide health insurance. They have very rarely used the coverage. I pay for it as "insurance" against them needing expensive care from conditions like cancer or injuries. I'm sure there are many families like this.

There are faculty in Arts and Sciences areas (especially Psychology , Biology , Chemistry) that make $200K or more--but to get that they generally have to have lots of NIH/NSF funding, AND be hired away by another university.
