Congrats to @uwsafs.bsky.social grad student Olivia Bible on passing her thesis defense today. She’s the first student to graduate from my lab since moving to UW. She examined how to integrate drone data, computer vision & spatial stats in multi-scale studies of the intertidal. It’s cool work.

Also the former chief of staff for Elise Stefanik, who wrote the bill banning DJI drones, is on the board of Skydio. They are one of the approved U.S. blue list drone manufacturers. We had to wait 6 months for our order to arrive because the DOD bought most of their inventory.
