Alt version that I forgot to upload. Was supposed to just be finding out how gradient maps worked but I found that I prefer the colours in this one

U N W I T N E S S

Digital body horror illiustration of someone standing looking upwards while the skin on their chest has been opened, so they hold the ends of it with their arms spread. Their skeleton and organs are exposed. and the inside of the skin is covered in eyes. Beneath their ribcage where the heart would be is instead another eye. The figure themself is blindfolded. In a pointy font above the figure is the word "UNWITNESS".
The illustration has harsh colours, predominantly black and white with some of the lining in neon green along with the irises of the eyes and the blindfold, and the inside of the skin and organs are a deep pink-ish red. The colours are effected by a chromatic abberation effect.

had originally intended go with the same style as my watercolour paintings, but changed my mind just before doing the inks. Didn't anticipate how opaque the gouache actually is, so covered up my initial sketch way too quickly so it was all a mad panic from there this was the test for the inking

In hindsight I probably should have started with painting something from reference, going from imagination with a new medium was rough and definitely hampered my learning.

I tried to do the back soldiers without putting in too much effort, and they come out looking pretty fucked up. All the gaussian blur in the world couldn't save them

...a blender setting or just setting it it task manager? and i might try fiddling with the resolution, im used to trying to have it as high as I can allow for digital art but it'd be interesting to see if a lower resolution higher quality render looks better overall.

My laptop has 8gb ram with an amd ryzen 7 processor, integrated graphics too low to use the gpu rendering. I made it basically work by increasing the noise threshold to .1 rather than the default of .01, and all the denoise settings to fast. How would I reduce the priority of the renderer? Is it..

My computer can barely handle rendering in cycles mode, I have to have all the settings tuned way down or it'll crash everything. But it looks so so good, even just the way the parachute cloth actually looks sheer is so cool.

Still render of the same snail, gliding down with a parachute. The saturation of the enviroment is lower and the background uses a different part of the skybox than in the animation

Decided to try and properly learn blender rather than dipping my toe in and running away screaming for the umpteenth time - went with one of the snails from the Life Series Minecraft SMP, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Attempted to edit the timelapse of this and god do I miss windows movie maker, i just want some simple software that can do cuts and change clip speed but i ended up trying three different programs, and when I finally found one that was usable it only did 16:9 export, so I had to chuck it in blender

wait no i've now realised why the legs looked wrong, fixed it (mostly)
