If you release a port that was primarily made using AI then you're morally obligated to open-source the project so someone infinitely more knowledgeable and talented than you can make a better version 🤭

Every time someone calls me a slur I just call them a cute little twink and most of the time they leave immediately

The new CS2 gamemode got me playing it again Why are gamers so consistently Like That 😭

Last time it was supposed to be a space for smash bros/fighting games, I think if I were to do another it would probably just be a little place to hang out and chat, maybe host some parties for a much broader selection of games hahah

I've been thinking about trying to open up a public Discord server again Last time I did my mental health was in a really shitty place, so I'd like to try again Not a guarantee, just a passing thought

Super cute!!!! I really like it :D

Persona 3!!!!! Such an awesome game I could put the entire modern Persona trilogy on my list for different reasons honestly, they're the games that sparked my current love for JRPGs years back, hahah

110

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Honestly it's a crime that I only had 300 characters to abridge my feelings for each of these titles There's no way I did an adequate job of capturing each in their entirety. It's just impossible LOL

000

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Truth be told, I could have easily put 9 completely different games on this list and had just as much to say about all of them I just love video games!!!

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

(Honorable mention) Yume Nikki Similar but still distinct to Earthbound, Yume Nikki encapsulates my love for abstraction in video games. This is an astounding, singular, deeply personal game that I think will affect everyone who plays it in a different way. It's easily an all-timer for me.

110

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Outer Wilds This is a more recent one, but I think it was still one of the most meaningful and personal experiences I've ever had not just with video games, but any work of art. I would encourage anyone to give it a go, it's a special, one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime kind of journey.

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Super Mario 64 This is the first video game I ever played. It's a game I return to multiple times a year, even today. It's actually pretty staggering how, as I've grown as a person, I've interacted with Mario 64 in new and compelling ways that opened me up to its charms all over again.

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Cave Story Honestly, I feel like my love for Cave Story should be self-explanatory. It's Cave Story. It's emblematic of everything not just indie games, but video games can (and should strive to) be.

110

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate This one's a bit tricky to summarize for me. It's just peak Monster Hunter to me. Endless replayability, wonderful atmosphere, and it showcases all of the series' classic design quirks.

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Team Fortress 2 I've been playing TF2 for 13 years now, and I don't think I'll ever stop. It has virtually endless amounts of depth and skill expression, and no matter how long I play, I'm always guaranteed to see some new, insane, hilarious bullshit that makes the experience worth it.

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Dark Souls I've actually always been drawn to challenging video games, even as a kid. The thing about Souls and what kept me coming back to it is just how uncompromising and rewarding its core design philosophy is. Dark Souls 1 especially.

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Undertale I have far too much to say about this game to fit into a single post, but this is one of those titles that pretty much means everything to me. It's what I would call the "definitive" video game if there ever was one.

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Earthbound This game solidified my love for the weird and the abstract in video games. I love just how unconventional many parts of this game are while still being wonderfully designed and structured. It's an easy game for me to revisit no matter where I'm at in my life.

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Ocarina of Time This was the first game I played as a kid that truly felt like I was visiting a real place. The smallest of characters had striking personalities and the world building was so in depth, I felt like I was in a world I could get deeply lost in.

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Just for fun, I'll expand on each game a bit and why they mean so much to me, or just why I love them so much to this day

100

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

This was my "9 games that define me" post from a while back :] since it's going around again at the moment

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I was actually thinking about this the other day hahah I think it's normal Especially if you're designing characters based on what you think is cute already

010

ProbablyGoat @probablygoat.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Finished Metaphor last night Really enjoyed how the last act of the game was approximately 70% speeches about Ideals and Ambition and Fantasy and Anxiety and Dreams and Purpose and Forging a New Path Ahead and Making a Better Future Way to hammer in your narrative themes hahah /lh /pos

Honestly Atlus has gotten me fully on board for the Persona 4 remake Hearing the battle music again sent a shiver up my spine hahah I wish they waited a bit longer before showing it off for the first time because the initial trailers looked VERY rough and set my expectations quite low
