I know giving Rick Beato credit for anything is a little cringe but one Lil trick I learned from him breaking down an ACDC track is letting thr BPM increase a little during the chorus then slow down again in the verses. Just a small, nearly imperceptible change gives the chorus a little more life

My kid is making a playlist of screamy songs and asked me for advice. This is kid in a candy store territory for me. Was hard to know which one to suggest first but I chose Fucking Hostile and he loved it. Glad he's old enough that I don't have to be precious about 4 letter words anymore

Last night my son asked me for song recommendations for Linkin Park and Three Days Grace. So yeah I'm pretty much nailing this parenting thing.

Lamb of God is famous for getting fans in the pit to do the wall of death whenever they'd play their song Black Label. But what song would the use before they'd written Black Label? Funny enough, it was "peel bananas, chop bananas, eat bananas, go bananas".

I finally got around to finishing FF7 rebirth. It truly did not need to go so fucking hard. The trials were gut-wrenching. I nearly skipped the Ifalna scene because it was so heartbreaking. The ending put some much needed "sweet" in a bitter-sweet send off. Honestly, fantastic job.

I'm really happy all this shit is happening to Ed Sheeran specifically, whose music I don't care for, and not Metallica whose music I adore and would be reacting EXACTLY the same way if they were in Ed's shoes.

Haven't posted here in a while, hi friends. I just remembered this song. I sang bass as part of my high school jazz ensemble as a favour for a friend that was running it. Without getting into a whole long story, I put up with a lot of bullshit just to be able to perform this song and I'm glad I did

If you could somehow find a bassist that had never heard I Can't Get No Satisfaction before, and played the guitar riff and asked them to come up with a bassline for it, they could take 1000 cracks at it and not come up with what Bill Wyman played. Truly one of the greatest bass parts of all time.

Does anybody else have songs that are deeply important to them and get played a lot, by artists you otherwise have never explored? I seem to have collected a lot of artists that have one or two songs that I've obsessed over for 30+ years and they're the only 1 or 2 songs I know.
