"Stay," Ferdinand says so quickly and forcefully it sounds like a command. He immediately adds, “Please."

Now Edelgard is definitely smirking. "Very well. Do you require my assistance with anything?"

"I..." Ferdinand pauses. "I would simply like your company."

"Is that all?" she asks, a tinge of disappointment in her voice. "There must be something I can do to help you."

Ferdinand stands while pressing his palms into his desk, wishing he was pressing against her body instead. But he wanted to try to have some semblance of self-control, even if only momentarily.

it’s just insane to me that I see many ppl praising these flawed characters for liking womanizing but actually does not like women. Ppl think it’s hot that they do not actually like women while they enjoy flirting and having sex with them and abandoning their wife after having babies with them. WTF

flaws doesn’t automatically makes a character well written. The story never makes them confront the harm they cause, they say 1 nice thing and suddenly it’s “aww he’s actually a good person🥺” And some of these “flaws” are also built around really bad racial/gender stereotypes. Totally unnecessary.

Like if it’s strength or the amount of food she can eat, then maybe use this comparison. but spicy food..? I guess there’s cultural differences here cuz where I came from, when we found the food too spicy we just eat some yogurt/milk but I guess here you need testosterone to digest the spice🙂‍↕️
