Second piece on my new xppen magic drawing tablet, this time trying out #Krita. Again I'm very happy with the results for a single evening of scribbling and painting. #art #DigitalArt #DigitalPainting #SciFi #ScienceFiction #Vehicle #Spaceship

Digital illustration of a spaceship racing event taking place in low orbit around a planet.

The last quick doodle: Finale Can't believe I managed to do something every day and I've learnt a lot about using alcohol markers in the process! #sst26 #sst2026 #Spaceshiptember

Felt tip drawing of some spaceships and fireworks.

I treated myself to a drawing tablet after enjoying all the sketches I've been doing for #Spaceshiptember. This is the first piece I've done on it, and I'm very happy. #art #DigitalArt #DigitalPainting #InfinitePainter #SciFi #ScienceFiction #Vehicle #Spaceship

An illustration of a red spaceship in low earth orbit.

Not sure if I'll be able to do this every day but I can but start with something quick and simple: Launch! #sst26 #sst2026 #Spaceshiptember

A doodle of a starfighter launching within some launch tunnel.

This the connoisseurs choice in Arwing design imo. Perfect proportions, greebling and materials.

A picture of an Arwing from the boxart of the SNES starfox game.

This was more what I was thinking ;)

Here is one I made procedurally in Blender for my own map work.

More #lowpoly #godot video game action! This time I have enemies flying in formation. If you destroy the leader, the rest will scatter and do their own thing which isn't ideal. But if you attack the rest first they stay as a cohesive block which is easier to deal with!

Decided to spice up the background stars a little. The cool thing about these is they're actually rendered ontop of everything additively, but I make them flicker in and out whether something is obscuring their centres.

Work marches ever on on my #lowpoly #godot project. It barely looks like anything has change since my last post but believe me, I've put far too much effort into the pettiest of things no one would ever notice but me! Also added pitch ladders, roll indicator, compass trackers and targetting brackets

Finally have something worth showing with my #lowpoly starfighter in #Godot. It is surprisingly fun to just fly around destroying these asteroids but there are 3000 of them in this scene and most of them break apart to reveal a smaller asteroid within, so it might take a while to get them all...

Decided it's best to go back and recreate the #lowpoly version of this starfighter in #blender. I'll revist a high poly version later. Going to try and work out some sort of launch sequence from a launch bay using this now.

Trying to flesh out the design of that #lowpoly starfighter I made in #blender semi-successfully I think. Still feels more like a sketch because I'm not deliberately driving the details as much as I would like but I'm also not super good at modelling so...

#lowpoly Starfighter sketch in #blender I really like how this came out. A lovely combination of ship designs and aesthetics I like and tried out a simple scifi trim sheet collage thing for the texture. The "wings" are meant to be able to fold up under the craft for landing/launching.

I couldn't help myself, but here's a little #lowpoly animation for you @norsehound.bsky.social. Made in #blender

More #lowpoly #blender #spaceship action from an imagined 1993 space game! I think I'm getting the hang of creating these spaceships with the right level of detail now.

A wireframe version, as a treat.

It was surprisingly difficult to create a truly low poly #spaceship in #blender that meets my strict visual demands of it looking like an FMV from a fictional game between the years 1993 and 1995, but I think this mocked-up VHS found footage does the job and is really cool!
