SHAMELESSLY WANTING

Well well well. If it isn’t the feelings I shoved down five months ago.

Yearning on company time.

I may have the big sad but I also have big boobs.

My coping mechanisms may be worse than my actual problems.

If we ignore all the stuff that’s gone wrong, I’ve kind of had nothing but wins.

Sex is great but have you ever had someone be patient and gentle with you when your abandonment issues are acting up.

They hate me for my girlish whimsy and for my pathological degree of avoidant behavior.

Sorry I missed your text, the effort that it takes to inhabit a body and experience existence has bested me once again <3

*Fantasizes about you fantasizing about me*

Hopeless romantic with trust issues and a sex drive out of the roof.

SHEEPDOG opening lines for today’s #DVParty!! wahoooo!

TEXT ID: THE THEORY, WHICH ISN'T SO MUCH A THEORY AS IT is a deluded coping mechanism, is that the dogs are hungry.
Animals hunt to eat, and these dogs aren't technically animals
—as humans don't like to be called animals despite being so at their most basic level —but they behave as such. She watched a documentary years ago, sandwiched between her parents, watching as a mountain lion lived his days hunting with no other purpose but to stalk and kill and eat.

SHAMELESSLY WANTING (87k) Upmarket contemporary w/ romantic arc. A librarian with a secret, a boss keeping his distance, and a board member on a censorship campaign. Emotional spirals, totally healthy coping, bad jokes, dick jokes, an undervalued bff, and a FMC trying her best (mostly). #DVParty

Background is graph paper with doodles of stars and circles. The words SHAMELESSLY WANTING are at the center in cutout magazine letters--various colors and styles. Images surround the text: strawberry shake, leopard print lingerie, art of the FMC and the LI, camera on tripod, microphone in a crowded room, text message, library cart, pen cap, gummy bears.

Other text on the image:
- Strawberry = new fave / I don't even like him like that. He's my boss.
- YourCuck72 <3 Leopard Print
- ToDo: Cry out Frank / Don't Do: Laugh
- Buy more gummy bears and a multi-vitamin
- Break him open...but in a nice way
- Need coffee! Shit...did I text Riley back?
- Miles' pen cap / Not weird
- Who even is Robert and why does he have rules?
- Another shift weeding and avoiding coworkers
- Got you a candle boss (totally normal)
- FHMan13...why is that name familiar?
- Mimosas @11am / tell my cousin I'm a pornstar / she won't hate me, right?

Character art:
A man and a woman are sitting cross-legged on the floor. They have a brown takeout bag between them, fries, and drink cups (with shakes). The man is holding a burger with a fry in his mouth. He is Indian with brown-bronze skin and black hair. He is wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants. The woman is white with pale skin, she is blushing while watching the man. She has brown hair. She is wearing a yellow turtleneck and jeans.

It also features a diverse cast, travel adventure, ancient mystery, and crystal magic in the vein of to Disney's ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE animated movie

THE BLURB

If nineteen-year-old Colten Ellsworth had the option of how to spend his last summer before university, he wouldn’t be visiting a sweltering desert. Forced to join his grandfather on a bucket-list trip, he’s determined to end the expedition early by bribing every possible escort.

Colten’s ridiculous offer to ‘get paid to do nothing’ is appealing to eighteen-year-old tour guide Sierra Izidro. Needing hush money to stop her ex-boyfriend from revealing her magical secret, which would render her an outlaw, she accepts. But upon learning that Colten’s grandfather is a famous wildlife journalist and her childhood hero—she betrays Colten and agrees to guide them.

The journey across the desert to an abandoned mining town is a veritable death sentence, made more harrowing by Sierra and Colten’s constant bickering. When their motley crew comes face-to-face with mercenaries wielding magic in impossible ways, they’re implicated in a conspiracy threatening Sierra’s home. To save it, she’ll have to expose her secret by learning to use the power of her magical curse, while Colten will have to decide between returning to his life of comfort and ballrooms or continuing to brave shootouts and rowdy saloons to aid his new friends. Their alliance is essential to their survival, but the desert is a treacherous thing, and it hides more secrets than it has stars.
