It’s easier to either get the same money for fewer hours, or more money for the same hours, in work that isn’t accounting. Also a lot of accountants doing work in the USA are not actually in the USA anymore.

“Years deep in an accountant shortage” of the profession’s own making. Wages/ earnings at all levels, from 1st year staff to managing partner, are lower than other white collar professions like lawyer. Hours are often longer. More school (this is changing) + tough tests needed for CPA license.

A little bit of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander off ball for OKC. Dive him to the block and go right into Flex action. Screens for Caruso and then right off a pindown with an empty side. Not sure if that cut needed that much help but zero hesitation to catch and shoot from SGA.

Considering they don’t currently control Congress and the House is on recess because a Republican was gonna try to bring an impeachment vote on the Secretary of Drunkenness, this news actually bodes well for 2027 and 2028.

Great NFL OL says in training camp “This is my last season.” He sustains an injury and hasn’t played this season because of it. He announced he was done playing yesterday. This is controversial because some guy who plays solitaire on his phone instead of doing his job says so.

The Epstein Files debacle is such a major issue because it’s indicative of this administration’s outright disregard for transparency and accountability. Corruption is running rampant in DC and my opponent has done nothing to stop it. CD-5 deserves good, honest government.

SGA is in the final year of a 5-year deal that started at 25% of the cap. His raises are a fixed amount each year, and the cap has grown faster overall, so he's at 24.74% of the cap this season. Chet & JDub are in the first year of 25% max contracts, so they make a little more than SGA this season.

Table comparing Oklahoma City Thunder salary cap hits by season for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Williams, with each figure's percentage of the league salary cap beneath it.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, current deal: 2022-23 $30.91M (25.00%), 2023-24 $33.39M (24.55%), 2024-25 $35.86M (25.51%), 2025-26 $38.33M (24.79%), 2026-27 $40.81M (24.74%).

Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams are on rookie scale deals from 2022-23 through 2025-26.

The 2026-27 row is highlighted with an orange box: SGA $40.81M (24.74%), Holmgren $41.24M (25.00%), Williams $41.24M (25.00%). It is the only season in which Holmgren and Williams have higher cap hits than SGA.

SGA's supermax extension years are shown in blue: 2027-28 $61.60M (35.00%), 2028-29 $66.53M (36.00%), 2029-30 $71.46M (36.83%), 2030-31 $76.38M (37.49%).

Holmgren and Williams have identical figures from 2027-28 through 2030-31: $44.54M (25.31%), $47.84M (25.89%), $51.14M (26.35%), $54.44M (26.72%).

To put this in NBA terms: Imagine if the Clippers did the Kawhi stuff with their whole roster for multiple off seasons, went like 3-3 in the NBA Finals during that time, and did criminal financial statements fraud to hide it. Give them a guaranteed 20th place finish, then liquidate them.
