The reason young people vibe with liminal horror is that the wealthy have spent the last half century destroying all anthropological spaces they can exist in, leaving *only* non-places en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-place

FE3H: I'm a professor at a prestigious college with no qualifications. My dad left me to the metaphorical wolves. A little dragon girl who can bend time lives in my head. Manuela is hitting on me. What the *fuck* is happening.

Quote posts are disabled on that "what was your first piece of scary media" post so I'll make my own: When I was six, my mother checked out a video from the library titled "The Boy who Drew Cats." I was obsessed with cats and she thought I'd like it. I have agoraphobia to this day because of it.

Haha I have so many headcanons about healer Elora. Those she raises with an LB3 taste blood for days after. Her healing is anything but gentle.

My WoL despies Forchenault in ways that are difficult to fully describe in words. Knowing it would upset the twins, who are more her children than his, is the only thing stopping her from erasing him from existence.

Cackling as my FFXIV homies and I talk about how much our WoLs hate Fourchenault hahahaha

Furry or not, we need to protect the few spaces we have that respect art and artists! Check it out and throw them a few bucks if you can!

I'm really particular about housing features, it MUST have a bed, kitchen, bath, and toilet or it's not a home!!

My FFXIV house has been fully redesigned and is once again open. Stop by if you're on the server and have a cup of soup. The Jadite Cottage, Crystal/Mateus, Lavender Beds Ward 27 Plot 44.

Drive-through banking services are such a normal part of life here in the USA and have been for so long that I'm always surprised to find they're not common elsewhere.

Pickles @preservedcucumbers.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Good lord the typos in this Also for those unaware, changing the interior design of your FFXIV house clears EVERYTHING and puts all housing items in storage. It's a hard reset.

010

Pickles @preservedcucumbers.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I cleared out my FFXIV house to redecorate and changed the interiof design to Minimalist for the open stairs, but I think it created more problems than it solved, so no I gotta change it back which means my whole house has to be completely cleared out again 🙃

Is there a way for me to make lists or feeds of specific posts of my own so I can make it easy for folks to see my art? Or should I just make a second account and repost my art to it

A lot of Elora's mannerisms stem from survival tactics she learned growing up as the only fem miqo in a thief's den. Her default setting was Hypervigilance throughout 2.0 to the end of 6.0. She's not easy to distract.

020

Pickles @preservedcucumbers.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

If this is a slider, Elora is pretty close to "unsettling intense." She's just really good at focusing when she wants to. Though if you're boring or being a twat, you'll just stop existing to her after a while.

I will never forget the feeling of arriving on the First and looking up through the purple foliage at the endless light sky with the Crystal Tower looming as the music swelled

Pickles @preservedcucumbers.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Well, after spending weeks on my FFXIV house, I just wiped the interior to start over. I took a video walk through so I can compare, but I have some Plans. Been watching a lot of housing build videos and I am inspired.

The utter lack of respect for human life from them is not surprising, but it is absolutely sick and twisted.

Man, I don't have to have a micrometer of sympathy for Mitch McConnell to recognize that what is being done to him is depraved, and the fact that the GOP is happy to do this to their most celebtated leaders should terrify everyone.

Year of our lord two thousand and twenty six and melee dps are still pulling ahead of the tank in FFXIV. This is why tanks are always the adventurer in need. No one wants to deal with this lmao

"Eh I'll be fine" Make a winter kit anyway. Fill it with shelf stable food you already like. When the weather gets better, just move it to the pantry. I grew up in the lower Midwest and we did this every year. A few times, it saved us.

So a few weeks ago I bought a clearance knitting/weaving loom kit and some green ombre yarn. I successfully made a pretty length of knit fabric that I will turn into a decorative pillow.

A photograph of a length of knitted fabric made with fuzzy yarn thay is sage green on the right end and very pale green on the left end. It's loosly folded on top of a black coffee table.

No that's 100% valid, few things can compare to real Carolina BBQ. I'm not even a fan of BBQ in general and I will drop everything for Carolina style ribs.

Even without knowing what it could mean in the US, it straight up looks like someone is being hanged. I'm pretty sure that would be questionable in any culture. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a deliberate move to create shock value.

The game is still super fun overall, there's a million things to do and everyone can find something about it they love, but man. Dating anyone seems a little pointless.

010

Pickles @preservedcucumbers.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Man. I'm still having a lot of fun playing Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, but I am increasingly disappointed in the lack of depth in the relationships mechanic. It's so shallow, there doesn't seem to be any real difference in interactions between friends and lover status. Sigh.
