Sukuna has been nothing but a doting alpha for the past six months. He didn't let Megumi lift a finger in preparation for their baby coming. Omega bristled, but they came to a compromise that he'll choose the colors. Sukuna's focus on making the best nursery was amusing to witness. Megumi would have never thought that alpha could be so meticulous. Hell, he never thought the news of him being pregnant would change the man so much, yet here he was.

When he showed his pregnancy test to his mate, Sukuna looked like Megumi had grown a second head. His eyes were wide, his sharp features somehow softened with his shock, and for a second, omega thought that maybe they weren't ready for a little one. It wasn't an unplanned child, though. They talked about it; they've been counting proper days and everything.

Just about when he was ready to burst into tears of disappointment at his mate's reaction, Sukuna fell on his knees. He shuffled closer, still awestruck, and his arms came around Megumi's waist. Nuzzling under the old shirt into omega's then flat belly, Sukuna let out a shuddered breath that fanned over sensitive skin.

"Fuck, doll... This is—Fuck, I love you so much."

His lips trailed soft kisses on omega's stomach, and when alpha pulled his head from under the shirt, his wide grin was blinding.

"This kid is gonna be my evil little spawn. My mini me."

"Do you need help?"

"Nah, I got it, doll. You sit there and look pretty."

Megumi rolled his eyes, putting his book away. He was on their bed, reading, when alpha's quiet cursing had gotten distracting enough for him to look at the man.

Sukuna was sitting on the floor of their bedroom, reading a construction manual for the baby crib. He was shirtless, broad shoulders hunched over wooden details of half-build crib. Bushy brows were furrowed in concentration as he mumbled profanities flipping a screw driver in one hand.

Light punch into his guts made him wince and Sukuna was crawling on the bed the very next second.

"What? What is it?"

Megumi snorted at worried face and patted alpha's cheek who hover over him like a mother hen.

"She's boxing in there, that's all."

Proud smile split handsome face as Sukuna laid on the side, pushing his own shirt off of Megumi's baby bump.

"Atta girl."

Omega watched big hand touch his pale skin, almost encompassing the dome of his belly. Rough skin felt good on his as long fingers caressed his stomach gently. Soft croon left alpha's chest as he leaned to press his cheek and nose to the swell of omega's belly, as if trying to hear their child.

Their baby girl.

"Why she's quiet now?"

Sukuna grumbled and Megumi snorted.

"Don't be a baby. She's just—"

Soft knock from outside of his stomach made him flinch but his heart raced as he saw his alpha's face brighten in child-like awe. He seemed to stop breathing, pressing soothing circles where he felt the movement and soon his quiet whispers filled their sunlit bedroom.

"...Don't be a menace to papa, will ya? I'll teach you how to throw a punch when you are here."

Megumi couldn't help but snort at alpha's mumbles and another movement under the skin of baby bump made the man croon.

"...Little brat."

Affection was thick in his deep voice as he left a soft kiss on a taut skin.

And Megumi...

Megumi melted.

I've got big plans for Pregumi Week! AKA writing my first ever itafushi as the main ship and not just a side ship 👀 If you've read Change of Heart, this is Change of Heart itafushi having pups. (I promise I'm still working on finishing Change of Heart, I didn't mean for the hiatus to be SO LONG).

Megumi stood in the bathroom, going through his skincare routine as he readied himself for bed. Yuuji stepped up behind him, slipping his arms around his waist and resting his head on Megumi’s shoulder to gaze at him in the mirror.

“Your heat is coming up in a few weeks,” he said, resting his palms on Megumi’s flat stomach.

“I’m aware,” Megumi said, meeting Yuuji’s eyes in the mirror.

“I’ve been thinking—” Megumi froze and Yuuji braced himself for the answer before he even finished the question— “that maybe we could try for a pup this time.”

Megumi lowered his hand from where he’d been applying eye cream. “Aren’t we kind of young?”

“I don’t think we are.” Yuuji paused and waited. Megumi seemed to consider his words. “Also, I want a big family and I know you’ve only ever wanted one pup, but maybe we can think about more than one. We don’t have to make that decision now, but if we do want more than one, it would be great to have time to plan for that. You know?”

“How many more?” Megumi asked thoughtfully.

“At least two.”

“So that means four.”

“Yes.”

Megumi hummed thoughtfully. “That’s a lot. Five pups is a lot.”

“That’s why we start with one now,” Yuuji pointed out and kissed his cheek. “Think about it. We can skip this cycle and try with your next heat cycle. I just wanted to plant that seed.”

“I’ll think about it,” Megumi conceded. “I’m not sure I’m ready to try with this cycle.”

Yuuji nodded and kissed his cheek. “That’s fine.” He kissed along his jaw and nibbled Megumi’s earlobe before kissing down his neck and licking the claim bite he’d put there years ago. “Maybe we can practice,” he mumbled against Megumi’s neck.

Megumi tilted his head, giving Yuuji better access and moaned. He turned in Yuuji’s arms and connected their lips, kissing him hungrily for a few breaths. He pushed against Yuuji’s chest. “Let me finish my skincare first.”

Yuuji laughed. “Fine, but I’ll be waiting for you.”
