But damn, this got hands. Only played around a bit with Nix before, but seemed like the perfect fit to have reproducible servers n stuff. But the DSL with the fkin nix-lang, and the apparent complexity (and incomplete docs/outdated other articles), make this quite troublesome to setup ngl 😭

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 04/10/2026

Since my home-lab's core services (dns, proxy, auth, ...) is all running on a raspberry, figured it would be good to have these running in a cluster instead, so my stuff doesn't instantly die when one server dies. Figured gonna keep all three nodes the same, and gonna use nix with kubernetes.

After playing Blue Price for the first time, after 2h now, I noticed why it's called that way. Blue Prince - Game about Blue Prints I love puns

012

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 02/09/2026

I mean, the sad part is, it kind of works for the UI stuff I do. Guess I'll just have to pivot to doing more low level stuff, since web dev is just full of it nowadays and pretty much inescapable. At least in a work environment :/

001

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 02/09/2026

And the same goes for everything else it's affecting, especially Art. Since these are things I think people are actually passionate about. I don't mind AI for spreadsheet bullshit, nobody wants that. But min-maxing Arts just for more money... idk man

030

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 02/09/2026

After being pushed more and more into using AI at work, I'm just sad man. Programming, a thing I started as hobby because it's cool as fuck, has turned into becoming a Project Owner/Manager, and just writing down requirements. While it is kind of cool in a way, it's just sad.

Hooooly shit, that #EWC2026 #TrackMania final was insane. Gwen pushed like a maniac on crack. Especially insane for the TM community, where it was the decider for the whole EWC, and 4/5 top teams rankings. Absolute Cinema

Reducing the dependencies, figuring stuff out yourself, and doing it yourself, especially of old/stupid stuff is so satisfying.

021

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 12/08/2026

In work we use a old annoying library to render a simple calendar, which constantly breaks and is just a huge hassle to work with. Yesterday threw my hands in the air and made one myself, and it came out quite nice if I say so myself. Figured it'd be a lot more difficult, but was alright to do.

Caught up on ReZero with S3 and S4 part 1 finally, and shiiiet bruh Later half of s4 was unexpected, a bit of a weird place to go, but damn well made. Cant wait for the later half and how that actually resolves, since it's quite the barrel they opened with that

010

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 27/07/2026

Ok hold up Why isn't there a waifu gacha based on trains yet? Like it is *the* autism special intestest/indicator, and would probably go hard af for those who are into it. I mean we already got two for ships (kancolle, azur lane), GFL for Guns, ...

Rewatching Hunter x Hunter, and got to the end of the episode: The fucking ending is from fear and loathing in las vegas. The fuckin shoe was released 1999 What the fuck you mean they been around then?!?!

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 24/07/2026

Did get a quite goof deal (I think), but it came bare/stock. So had to get all the damn accessories like bell, reflectors, new seat, rack, lock, phone mount, rack bag, dirt covers,... Just for about another 400 bucks all in all 😭😭 wtf man, this shit is so expensive

010

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 16/07/2026

Just a reminder: Cypress (the testing framework) is still the biggest piece of shit that has ever been conceived. It's actually impressive on how to make it *this* fucking bad, and still be used because no alternative (component testing, not e2e) exists (at least for angular) 😵

001

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 16/07/2026

Successfully switched out my router with a miktrotik hap ax3. Basically replaced a cudy network with a mikrotik one. Now I just need to setup some VLANs n shit 😵 But that can wait a bit, first gotta finally get the damn 3d printer to work.

Listening to Dehumanizing Itatrain Worships new 2D Complex ablum, and holy shit, didn't expect Agent 0 to appear as a feature. Figured they desolved or somethin :o

Why do coffeemachines not use all the damn water? The container still has like 150ml water in it: Says it's empty. Then why design the container in such a way, where you can't use the whole damn content??

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 14/07/2026

Man gravelbikes are so expensive 😭 My current MTB is falling apart, and I want one which is of good quality. Time to hunt on the 2nd hand market, maybe I get lucky there :)

110

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 09/07/2026

I think one or two of my SFP+ Modules is fucked 😭 The ixgbe driver constantly resets, which after a while crashes the whole system and I have to force reboot it. Which would be bad enough for a PC, but for my fuckin NAS, it's really damn bad 😑

011

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 27/06/2026

One Idea I *do* have, is to check out lidarr and fix some shit. Cuz it seems like it's been held together with duct tape and is just a nightmare to use. Or at least some other way to properly import/manage existing libraries. Got like so many CDs n shit, and lidarr doesn't recognise it properly

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 27/06/2026

I'ld also love to do some "low-level" stuff, but usually the build tools for those are so atrocious, and I have to get that to work for like 400h before I can even work on it which really takes the wind out of the sails.

100

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 27/06/2026

I really wanna do some programming in my spare time again. Especially since I have done mostly devops stuff for my home lab. Maybe finishing my "CV" website which I have left a long time ago. Or maybe setup an eepsite with some random bs on it. Idk yet

100

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 24/06/2026

Upgrade the buildsysten to finally use esbuild. Now old unmaintained dependencies which are held together with duct tape don't work anymore, cuz building is just completely fucked now. Just what I needed. I hate the JS ecosystem for this ngl

Finishing ul Fireforce S3, and it's just... whatever at this point. Like come oooon Inlove the art style and concept, some mystery that was built up. But fuuuck dude, the characters are often so shiiiiet 😭 Not entirely done, but head already turned off for it 😑

So glad I got jellyfin with like 8-10TB of content to watch instead now. Seeing also how YT premium is now 15€/month, I think I'll need to cancel that soon. I mainly use it for YT Music, but I'll just have to setup some auto downloads into jellyfin instead I guess

Youtube recommendations on TV are the biggest shit ever. Can't dismiss them like on desktop (I could use desktop mode, but annoying to use on the couch) and therefore all the shit just never clears. Either bs topics where I watched like 1-2 vids, or vids I have already seen.

One of the few times I have to actually use math while programming/making a UI, and I'm so lost lmao. It shouldn't be that hard, but man, never having to do any calc stuff and then just messing around till it works is so stupid but it works

021

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 09/06/2026

Well, one way to prevent doom scrolling in instagram is simply by it having a memory leak or the sorts, cuz after like 5-10min, it just lags the hell out and reels keep playing, even tho the app was closed. Probably for the better anyways

010

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 06/06/2026

Watched Death Race: Inferno, since I watched the first two when I was young. Damn did that age bad. The action scenes are an utter mess - 50.000 cuts, shaky af, random flash effects. Story: non existent (i mean, fair, don't mind) Chracters/Talking scenes are unbearable. Time to watch the 4th movie

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 05/06/2026

Wanna setup klipper n shit for my printer, and was like: well, before I try to configure all, let's update to latest and then start. That was 3h ago. Everything went to shit. First network got fucked, now the raspberry is killing itself whenever the 3d printer is connected. Whyyyy

110

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 27/05/2026

Also finished Dorohedoro S2, and fuuuck. Now a lot more makes sense. This shit is so weird and convoluted, though I always missed somethin. But nah, it's just a damn good mystery that *does* resolve properly. Can't wait for more seasons (i hope there're gonna be some)

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 27/05/2026

Finally finished #TheBoys now. Basically binged everything since S3 the last weeks and damn. That was a damn good show. Idk why people seemed to be mad with the ending - It was good. No idea what people expected how it would end.

Got the misfortune of trying to work something out in react native. That shit ain't debugable for shit in web. Aaa

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 19/05/2026

Spent like 3-4 days recreating all the damn configs and package layouts since it's fucked legacy bs. Got halfway through changing it to use TS Project References, and then: Doesn't support Angular. Weeeeelll fuck you too. And all of that just because it couldn't resolve internal packages...

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 19/05/2026

Trying to get a monorepo with NX to work again is absolute ass. Especially when they change shit all the time, and we can't keep up. We still use the damn karma test runner, for which I made stupid wormarounds, but it falls apart all the time. But no time to migrate away from it yet 😭

110

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 06/05/2026

Trying to fix a bug in work, and it turns out it's because of a TODO which hasn't been implemented for over 13 years now. How

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 14/04/2026

Rewatched Dorohedoro for Season 2, cuz I didnt remember much. Forgot how brutal it was, but I like it. Depicts the fragility of people quite well in most cases. Ofc some super power/magic schenanigans are there which sometimes raise an eyebrow, but the mysteries just evolve so nicely~

030

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 02/04/2026

Hooooly shit, they actually dropped a new song 6 days ago! And it's really good too, fuck yea

001

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 24/03/2026

So the last few concerts I was actually able to get some patches again! Got now... 6 where I actually have no idea where to put them now XD I will make them fit somehow tho, maybe removing some which aren't really my jam no more

001

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 05/03/2026

Alucard is basically a god and nothing affects him. Seras doesn't really develop and is still wimping around (Daughter of the Police Chief?!? Still pussies around??), and don't get me started on Integral. I hope that Ultimate is/was better ...

010

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 05/03/2026

Like trying to sound cool by always saying out their loyalty, and being like: "Well finally I can go all out for once", which just falls flat so often. Especially the fights which should be the highlight of something like that, just aren't really engaging since you can't gauge the powers of one.

100

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 05/03/2026

Watched #Hellsing again, because it has been quite a while since I watched it. Damn does it age bad - Or maybe has been that great to begin with? Story is just very meh, as stuff happens but nothing really deep and doesn't get resolved. Characters are coolish, but it's basically just vibes and edge

100

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 01/03/2026

Why are all power strips so damn compact? Or better said, why do manufactures create these insanely stupid power plugs which cover 1.5/2 sockets?!? I have like 10 sockets that I need for my server, but need 2x6 and now 1x3 just so I can put them in, since they all block each other.

010

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 16/02/2026

At nearly 6am (dont ask), finding a random video of a live show from fkin "The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza" in 2025/26 is already wild. But finding out through comments that one of the members is in Emmure really makes my head spin. How do you go from technical mathcore, to beatdown? XD

121

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 09/02/2026

Either PSU or the mobo is dead. I'm so fuckin done hhooolllyyy shit. why fuck all this, really, its so much bs

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 09/02/2026

Got a simple open-case for the NAS, to properly have a base for it, rather than having it lay on my shelf. However, since its some proprietary fuck motherboard, it has not the correct holes and doesnt align. Now wanted to put it back into the shelf: doesnt turn on anymore. Absolutely nothing

110

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 08/02/2026

And then the fuckin authentik service which i migrated shat itself and is just dead. Swear to god, if i have to reconfigure all that shit ima... idk I just want all this shit to be over man 😭

000

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 08/02/2026

And while caddy is nice, it doesnt support custom CA certs *with a password* for whatever reason. Now I tried to find some way to create an intermediate ca cert for caddy from my own ca, but they always require a password. And docs for that are barely existant or just shiiiiiit.

100

PreFiXAUT @prefix.moe · 08/02/2026

can only access the DNS (pihole) and Revsere Proxy now. So now if I need to access the VPN pi however, I need to jumphost. All good, theres warpgate which is a cool app to make that possible easily. However, I can't set it up properly rn, because it doesnt wanna work with caddy nicely.
