Since my home-lab's core services (dns, proxy, auth, ...) is all running on a raspberry, figured it would be good to have these running in a cluster instead, so my stuff doesn't instantly die when one server dies. Figured gonna keep all three nodes the same, and gonna use nix with kubernetes.

After being pushed more and more into using AI at work, I'm just sad man. Programming, a thing I started as hobby because it's cool as fuck, has turned into becoming a Project Owner/Manager, and just writing down requirements. While it is kind of cool in a way, it's just sad.

In work we use a old annoying library to render a simple calendar, which constantly breaks and is just a huge hassle to work with. Yesterday threw my hands in the air and made one myself, and it came out quite nice if I say so myself. Figured it'd be a lot more difficult, but was alright to do.

Successfully switched out my router with a miktrotik hap ax3. Basically replaced a cudy network with a mikrotik one. Now I just need to setup some VLANs n shit 😵 But that can wait a bit, first gotta finally get the damn 3d printer to work.

I think one or two of my SFP+ Modules is fucked 😭 The ixgbe driver constantly resets, which after a while crashes the whole system and I have to force reboot it. Which would be bad enough for a PC, but for my fuckin NAS, it's really damn bad 😑

Watched Death Race: Inferno, since I watched the first two when I was young. Damn did that age bad. The action scenes are an utter mess - 50.000 cuts, shaky af, random flash effects. Story: non existent (i mean, fair, don't mind) Chracters/Talking scenes are unbearable. Time to watch the 4th movie

Copied all basic media i got to my server and importing everything there. Needs often a lot of cleanup, especially the music, since I got some underground oldschool dubstep and dnb shit in there. Therefore aren't recognized, so have to add them to #musicbrainz first, which is a bit of a hassle.

Soooo the server i use for media streaming n shit isn't the *best* for that. Figured a intel N150 would be good enough - which in basic stuff it is - but starts to have issues when skipping or rewinding. Given that it has a TDP ~6W, still quite good. May need something stronger in the future tho :/

Ok, so setting up #Arch is actually much more of a hassle as expected, fml. Tried 3 times to install it manually with the docs, but always landed in the grub shell instead of starting. Gave up and used archinstall, which is actually really nice.

So, wanted to make it, when my media pc turn on/off, the tv follows along. tried WOL, while it technically works (cant get it properly working with systemd yet :/), it can't turn it off. Luckily I got a LG which has #webos so I can connect to it. Getting that to work is a whole ordeal however.
