🎶 FIRTAN 🇩🇪 « Helios » Who said the violin isn’t Metal ? Much like My Dying Bride, Firtan uses it brilliantly to enhance their pagan, folk Blackened Death. It lends their music a more majestic and dramatic aura than ever before.

🎶 SRPNTS 🇩🇪 « Second Shape » The venom of this serpent, dangerous as it is, has incredible properties. Upon contact, Black Metal takes on a Doom-like heaviness, with utterly possessed and impressive vocals, but also a few ethereal melodies. A memorable occult experience.

🎶 DISSIMULATOR 🇨🇦 « Artifice Dissolves » The almost mechanical coldness of this technical, sci-fi Death/Thrash is warmed by magnificent solos and an underlying groove. Intense and impressive.

🎶 SPIRIT POSSESSION 🇺🇸 « Cathedral Speech » If you fancy getting lost in a maze of chaotic and complex Blackened Heavy/Thrash, with a raw, "live" sound, then step into this cathedral. Influenced as much by Black pioneers as by 70s prog rock, these seven compositions will take hold of your mind.

I have never had the opportunity to visit Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, but the country fascinates me. Both for its landscapes and for its music, which is often the work of brilliant “lone wolves”. @sgaile.bsky.social @hellrippermetal.bsky.social

🎶 WRAITHSTORM 🇺🇸 « Revenant » Following a debut funeral Doom album, these members of Judicator, Owlbear and Soulmass decided to switch to melodic DM. And they were absolutely right to do so, as this album contains all the key elements of the genre : energy, aggression and beautiful melodies.

🎶 EINVIGI 🇫🇮 « Latent » EINVIGI’s music is like yin and yang, constantly shifting from gentleness to aggression, from haunting, ethereal atmospheres to swirling darkness. And that makes their post-Black Metal all the more fascinating.

🎶 SGAÌLE 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 « Onwards to Embrace the Echo » Over the past two years, I have traversed the Bealach many times, discovering a new wonder on each occasion that beckoned me to return. This album was a revelation, fundamentally Metal, yet so personal, varied and emotional. And the work of a single man…

🎶 AMON AMARTH 🇸🇪 « The Allfather Awakens » Listening to a new Amon Amarth album is like catching up with an old friend. He always tells the same stories, but he tells them well and you always have a good time. And with a few beers under the belt, it always ends up in a rowing pit !

🎶 BURNER 🇬🇧 « No One Is Coming To Save Us » A seething cauldron blending Death, Hardcore, post-Metal, Black… as punishing as it is captivating. A spectacular soundtrack that captures the chaos of our world. The English Metal scene is definitely on fire 🔥 @burnermetal.bsky.social
