When it comes to cooking and making what you cook last longer: 1. Salt is your friend. Don't overdo it, but anything that you make that has salt in it will keep longer. 2. Vinegar or lemon juice is also your friend. Acid preserves. A pinch of it will wake up flavor. Cook things that rely on both.
