"This strategy of overwhelming journalists with AI-generated pitches does not pay off"

"Journalists hate AI-generated PR" 1,394,740 public relations pitches ÷ 42,392 journalist requests = 33 PR pitches per journo request, of which 21% or an average of 7 are fully AI pitches.

I don't see an actual outright denial from Driscoll's that berries with excess chemical levels were shipped to Canada in this carefully worded written statement. Companies will often insist on commenting through email to control the message and avoid media follow-up questions.

I'm listening to historic radio station WWJ Detroit, on the air for 106 years since 1920. Broadcasting on 950 kHz at 50,000 watts, WWJ is credited with originating the first regular radio news reports, the first regularly scheduled religious broadcasts, and the first play-by-play sports broadcasts.

The liar isn’t the most dangerous communicator. It’s the person who doesn’t care if they’re telling the truth. A new study explains why: false claims are more believable from truth-indifferent sources than known liars (and corrections that kill lies bounce off bullshit). Repetition does the rest.

So the public is hearing much less about climate change. The share of Americans encountering the topic in the media at least monthly has fallen from 57% to 39%, even though 65% say the issue is personally important to them (and a majority are interested in global warming news stories).

Farage responds to the allegations by framing his defence as a series of negative propositions rather than affirmative facts, proactively introducing wrongdoing, illegality, and misuse of public funds. Even in denial, the audience must first entertain each allegation before processing the rebuttal.

Tuned into KFYR radio, “the Voice of the Northern Plains” broadcasting from Bismarck, North Dakota. On the air since 1925, this 5,000-watt station benefits from a low dial position, open prairie terrain, and strong groundwave propagation…

What makes messages persuasive? University of Pennsylvania psychology researchers tested three kinds of message: 1. What someone thinks about a product (“I liked it”) 2. What they did (“I bought it”) 3. Both combined (“I liked buying it”) The combination won — and the reason matters.

The end of an era in shortwave radio: the trusty Canadian time signal has been transmitting under the call sign CHU since 1938, but sadly it is closing down. This is on top of the National Research Council Time Signal being discontinued on CBC Radio in 2023 after running since 1939.
