A new museum and exhibit is opening beneath the Lincoln Memorial on June 25, giving visitors a look at the underground structure that supports the massive monument as well as historic documents like the 13th Amendment and Emancipation Proclamation.

Checked out the Rosetta (Italian) Bakery (815 Connecticut Ave NW). Pleasant indoor and outdoor seating. Croissant was fine. Lots of fancy baked good choices. Across the street from the competition (rhymes with la-tay) and Farragut Square.

Maman Joon, a Persian fast casual restaurant with multiple locations around the DC area, has signage and a mailbox up at 707 H St NW. Cava closed at this location in the spring of 2024. Fingers crossed that the neighborhood can add kabobs to available cuisines!

Quick walk around the #downtownDC neighborhood this morning. 6"-8" or so of snow on the ground where not disturbed, but sleeting was in effect. Walgreens(7th/H) and Gregory's Coffee (7th/E) were open. Enjoy!

Correct airport signage at ORD today.

Display at O'Hare's gate C15 lists the flight's destination as "Washington National (DCA)." Many Washingtonians, myself included, have always resented Congress renaming our closest airport to "Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport" and have kept on calling it "National."
