I used a chili crisp and soy sauce compound butter to make the butter block. they are nice and flaky and they taste like eating chili crisp but slightly less overwhelmingly spicy like you're just eating chili crisp. they have a great lasting warmth

Hoo boy, this was unexpected.
I think there's two ways you could end up reading the reviews for WARHOUND. The first: you are looking for some really fucked up BDSM puppygirl mindbreak lesbian smut with mechs, but if you're looking for that you've probably already read this 5 times over and passed out.
The first two short stories are basically just thinly veiled setups for smut. The novella is a little more actual story. Then there's rescue hound, which is where IMO it gets fantastic.
The other reason you might have ended up reading this is if you're kind of curious about the former. As a [boring kind of] ace, I did not exactly read this for the sex scenes. Of which there are many in a great deal of detail. Also I fucking hate Kione. And yet, I found myself utterly absorbed in it.

Okay I'm not actually any good at describing the content of the story, but here goes.
It's a fucked up and raw horror story about giving up, giving in, about identity and meaning and purpose and [losing] your humanity. It's about taking broken people and breaking them even more. And...it does that fantastically. When reading other stuff, I was thinking "why am I not just reading more WARHOUND instead". I think writing up this rambling review is me trying to buy time for how I feel about Sartha and I still have absolutely no idea.
