This is all downstream of the fact that BNA makes the majority of its revenue from parking & rideshare. To them, every busrider is $5 lost revenue. We have to change the incentives if you want the Authority run different. Obviously, that's very hard now that it is under state control.

Last night our school (Inglewood) had some MNPD folks at our PTA meeting to discuss crossing guards. Current operating procedure when determining if a crossing guard is to observe if there are any students crossing without guardians. It's a chicken/egg situation.

Totally crazy story. Most important fact is that when HuggingFace (which hosts open source AI) got attacked (by Open AI!!), it tried to defend itself but the closed frontier models (Anthropic/OpenAI) would not cooperate because of 'guardrails' It's only option was using open source models locally.

More Hub Nashville complaints/suggestions I'm always having to reset my password for no reason (reset today and had to reset a month ago too). It's not just bad UX. No modern site does this, and it goes against the federal government's own security guidance (NIST), which says don't force resets.
