"There is a very special connection between Adar and Arondir" Charlotte Brändström ... And that escalated quickly :) #TheRingsOfPower #Adar #Arondir

Colour illustration of Arondir and Adar intertwined in a ballet position. Arondir is holding Adar firmly in an upside-down position by his arm and leg while Adar gracefully (armour and all xD) seems to enjoy the "floating" feeling around Arondir's torso, just wrapping his gauntleted arm around him.

The background is in a neutral light purplish colour with just a shadow and a couple beams of light.

Galadriel with Sauron in the mind palace -hours before the forging of the One Ring. Inspired by the reincarnated Halbrand/Sauron by the fire in s2e1 and my hc speculations about what might transpire before the forging of the One Ring and Sauron’s gradual yet inevitable descent into self destruction.

"Many waters flowed down thither from heights in the east, and the first sound that was heard by the Elves was the sound of water flowing, and the sound of water falling over stone…"💧 Adar when he was known by other name, washing in starlight and the waters of Cuiviénen✨ #TheRingsOfPower #Adar

Coloured illustration in blue-ish colours, depicting a pale-skinned young elf with very long and dark hair laying down on the shores of a lake. His arms are extended and he is bending a leg as water covers his body at the waist. The background around him is all the waters of the lake reflecting the light of stars.

"Though here at journey's end I lie in darkness buried deep, beyond all towers strong and high, beyond all mountains steep, above all shadows Stars for ever dwell: I will not say the day is done, nor bid the Stars farewell" 🌑✨ #TheRingsOfPower

Coloured illustration in bluish tones depicting Adar from his shoulders up, holding his sword in his armoured hand. He is looking at the spectator with a glowing pupil. In the background there are bare branches suggesting a dead tree and a few stars glowing.

Heavily inspired by Adar's official poster for the first season of The Rings of Power.

totally! and they needed to convince everyone that the 3 were REALLY untouched 😬

020

Halbrand’s Pouch @pouchie.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

So entertain me. If this theory is true, and the ring verse story & TROP plot is how events "actually" unfolded, why would elves manipulate this history and depict it in the way it's done in Silm? (16 + 3 rings, 16 tainted by Sauron, 3 untainted after his departure). 👀

280

Halbrand’s Pouch @pouchie.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Silm tells us that 16 rings were made by Annatar and Celebirmbor (all aimed for elves), and then an additional three after Annatar left Eregion (thus untouched by him). But then the ring verse tells us a different story; a story much more closer to the plot of TROP.

180

Halbrand’s Pouch @pouchie.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Hear me out: Maybe TROP is depicting the "real" version of how rings were forged: Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die." Silmarillion tells the ELVEN version of the making of the rings.

Luthien & Huan, cultivator & her spiritual dog🌾 For the "Cultivation" prompt of #TolkienTrewsday #TolkienTuesday #Tolkien For this piece I mixed Tolkien's fantasy with cultivation novels, a subgenre of xianxian fantasy where characters refine their spiritual energy through martial arts and music🎶

Coloured illustration of Luthien and Huan. They both appear sitting in a green field, with mountains in the background and a pink sky.

Huan appears as a fantastic black and white huge dog. Luthien as a young woman wearing a blue hanfu with her dark hair half up tied with two hair sticks.

She's playing a guqin and there is a beam of light coming out of her right hand and spiralling in the air, symbolizing the spiritual energy of the melody she is playing.
