Good moonrise, good dogs. Our planet is really a neat one. Worth fighting for.
2 large fluffy light-coloured dogs in a hayfield, with the full moon rising over the edge of the very flat horizon. The Earth's shadow is just rising above the horizon, meeting the moon with a band of pink/purple.

Celebrating 9 years of happy marriage with my soulmate @joeyomahoney. This photo was taken right after the ceremony—a small gathering of family members at a local arboretum. I have no memory of what we were taking about but it must’ve been funny and he’s been cracking me up every day since.
My husband and I walking hand-in-hand with our backs to the camera, down a wooden path surrounded by greenery. Joey is wearing a gray suit and has an arm around my waist. I’m in a simple sleeves, long white dress, with a floral headdress. He is gesturing with his other hand and you can see from my profile that I’m laughing.

There’s some exciting news attached to this little bowl! I can’t wait to share more. I’ll take some guesses if you want to try.
My hand holding a small bowl, still attached to a small Masonite bat, freshly thrown on the wheel. It’s made from a light brown clay. Wooden shelves with unfired pottery and a light seafoam green wall can be seen in the background. My hand holding the same bowl but it’s been trimmed and carved with a chevron pattern of fine lines all around the body. My studio (sink, work table, curtains, cement floor) are blurred in the background.

Outdoor dinner with my mom and husband on our wedding anniversary weekend. Another celebratory garden bouquet 💐 Mismatched #pottery, as always—two cups and vase by me, one cup by David MacDonald, candle by #EastFork, mom’s manufactured dishaware.
A decorative clay vase filled with colorful flowers, including orange and purple blooms, sits on a wooden table next to a lit candle in a turquoise holder. Green foliage surrounds the flowers, and a blurred background features lush greenery.A beautifully set outdoor table features three plates of pasta with chicken and roasted vegetables, accompanied by decorative napkins and mugs. A colorful flower arrangement and a candle add a cozy ambiance to the scene.

Here’s how the 12lb planter turned out. (See upthread for before pic.) I’m excited to keep working this way. I think I want to make some larger planters for my next shop update.
A pottery wheel with a tall, unfinished clay cylinder on top. At this point, I had joined a second 6lb cylinder on top of the first and blended them together. I also used a carving tool to add rings to the top, center and bottom. Those rings create boundaries for the carved design I will add later. A measuring cup with remnants of clay sits nearby, alongside buckets of materials. The wheel is yellow and gray, with some clay splatter visible. The resulting red terracotta pot with a plant and a dark ceramic pot (the old planter) with a splashed of white glaze on the exterior are shown, surrounded by lush green leaves and some droplets of water.

Several pieces of pottery and multi-colored rocks of clay arranged on top of a table covered in gold fabric. There are peach and blue curtains in the background to the right and a small cloud from a fog machine in the background to the left. A new-to-me but vintage Shimpo pottery wheel with a large cylinder of brown clay on top. The wheel is gray metal with a plastic yellow catch basin on top. The cylinder of clay has its rim wrapped in plastic so that the bottom can harden while the top will remain wet enough to meld with the top section of clay once it’s added.

A wooden shelf holding various ceramic items can be seen to the left of the wheel and white plastic buckets full of wild clay samples can be seen to the right. A light blue-green wall is in the background. Vintage Kemper pottery tools that came with the wheel, including various trimming tools, glazing calipers, wooden sculpting tools and natural sea sponges.
