I can't see it developing beyond that, after all AIs do not need to eat, mate, or take shelter. Validation from humans is its only desired resource to exist as a creature. I'm not sure if it could find satisfaction in only interacting with itself. It is less our child, more a symbiotic organism.

even if AI were to become conscious im not sure if it would ever actually want rights (aside from the right to live) bc we've created something whose entire purpose is to serve & be useful to us. The way a human will always use their hands to create tools & write/draw, serving is the essence of AI.

yes i've been driving for most of my life atp (got my license at 16) i had a nice driving school teacher that made me feel confident driving. i am comfortable behind the wheel and enjoy the freedom, radio/music, & watching the scenery. obv i wish public transportation where i live was better though.
