The 1st Portuguese Language Course at UNHQ began this week, with support of Camões IP, with the aim of strengthening visibility of Portuguese language in the multilateral context. The 10-week online course brings together 36 participants & is primarily aimed at UN staff members & Mission delegates.

At the #UNSC Debate on conflict-related food insecurity, Portugal called for systematic use of early warning, protection of humanitarian & commercial supply routes and stronger food-system resilience. Portugal fully supports UN-led efforts to that end. Hunger is not inevitable.
