I officially have a new favourite sentence, courtesy of this insane Nazi account on Twitter/"X": "Women are literally Jews with tits." "WOMEN ARE LITERALLY JEWS WITH TITS." Poetry. I shall now be using it at every opportunity.

What I think as I contemplate the giraffe: "What an improbable creature! But on the other hand, who am I, a mere naked ape, to say what is or is not 'improbable'?" What the giraffe thinks as it contemplates me: "MONCH MONCH MONCH THAT'S NOT AN ACACIA LEAF!!!!! MONCH MONCH MONCH"

Until this week, I had somehow never heard Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes' original version of "Don't Leave Me This Way", featuring Teddy Pendergrass. I love the Thelma Houston and Communards covers, but this is on a whole other level. Simply magnificent, a perfect mid-'70s groove. Do have a listen.

To "anti-Zionists", Israeli policy towards the Palestinians is meant to be the new Holocaust. In truth, the situation in the Holy Land since 1948 doesn't actually resemble the Holocaust in any way. So, inevitably, they end up having to rewrite the history of the Holocaust, to better match the libel.

Left: a Jewish prisoner of Nazi Germany. Right: a Ukrainian prisoner of Putin's Russia. This is the progress humanity has made in eighty years: people are still starved to death in camps, but now their underwear has a brand name on it. So says I: we are a brutal kind.

I *strongly* approve of what Holly's Merry Moggies does, yet, when I first read this Facebook post of theirs, all I could think was, "this is the Pissfingers of cats". Am I a horrible, horrible person? Almost certainly. Either way, if you can give this lovely boy a loving home, please, please do so.

Someone on Twitter/"X" recently posted the following: "most men would 100% be sex workers if they were women" The tweet has more than one-and-a-half thousand likes, at the time of writing. This is roughly how I think those people picture "sex work":

Here are "Britain's rudest places", according to the Telegraph. I am DISGUSTED to see Wales completely unrepresented on this list. Even the bloody Cornish are on there. Come on, fellow Cymraeg, let's have some national pride and rename Crickhowell "Rectal Prolapse", or something. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

If you're too young and/or foreign to know what I meant here by "the one with the kid and the frisbee", this is the video I was talking about. Scared multiple generations of British schoolchildren absolutely senseless, so it probably worked. Public information films didn't fuck around in those days.

Nice sentiment, but this is one of those viral soundbites that collapses under the slightest scrutiny. When, precisely, were "we" taught to fear witches? Did I miss school that day? Was it a video, like the one with the kid and the frisbee, only he's turned into a toad instead of being electrocuted?

Oh, for goodness's sake. Yes, Narnia is a Christian allegory. That doesn't make it Christian *scripture*. The series also includes dragons, dwarfs, centaurs, unicorns, talking beavers, and Father Christmas, which suggests Lewis didn't take his creation nearly as seriously as some of his admirers do.

You couldn't ask for a more perfect example than this of the chin-stroking, pseudo-intellectual inanity of foreign policy "realists". They think they're the only grown-ups in the room, playing their great imaginary game of Risk. Meanwhile, anyone who knows to call a spade a spade is merely repulsed.

The problem with the Charles/Diana marriage was never the age gap. Rather, it was the unaccountable fact that, in the terminal quarter of the twentieth century, the heir to the British throne was somehow still obliged to marry an eligible virgin he barely knew instead of the woman he actually loved.

I'm not generally keen on practical jokes, which are often needlessly cruel, but this is pure, unadulterated genius. Same fundamental "brought this on myself" element as the dead dove gag from Arrested Development, and the consequences are no worse than a squirt of ketchup in the palm. Lovely stuff.

This sanctions mess with Israel is becoming quite the blackpill for me, I have to admit. All sorts of people I'd previously assumed were Zionists with solid liberal principles have suddenly discovered their core duty is to defend Israel's current government at all costs. An ugly spectacle all round.

We should all be in awe of Ukrainian ingenuity. Ashamed, too, that these courageous, singular people have been so consistently let down by the alleged "free world". If and when they win, the victory will be entirely their own, and too many of us ought to be asking ourselves some difficult questions.

Not to put words in anyone's mouths, but look out for the prominent British, Jewish, otherwise vociferous Zionists who are notable absentees from the chorus attacking the Uk's new sanctions. Because even among those who traditionally take a pro-Israel view, settlements are a big dividing line.

Is this a joke, or has this person just never spent five seconds in a pro-Israel online space? Palestinians are *constantly* characterized as terrorists or terrorist supporters based on the actions of a minority! For what it's worth, I don't think it's fair to demonize *either* people on that basis.

For decades, Benjamin Netanyahu's bargain with the Israeli people has amounted to: "You don't have to like me, but I'll keep you safe." Now we know he betrayed that trust in the worst way imaginable. If there is any justice, this will be the final nail in his political coffin. *If* there is justice.

Racists are indeed delighted when they have the opportunity to portray accomplished black people as frauds. That's why it would be great if avowed anti-racists didn't make life easy for them by deifying *actual* frauds like Jason Arday. Sorry, that's simply what he was, the evidence is overwhelming.

Despite this excruciating clip (if you have the stomach for it), I don't think Miriam Margolyes is actually a dyed-in-the-wool racist. She's just a daft old cow with zero filter between her brain and her mouth, who also considers herself so right-on, she's allowed to say anything. That's bad enough.

"I’ll put the true part of it on the record myself. My marriage ended because I refused to stop fighting for the rights of my wife and my daughter, women (who Jon would call “cis women”), at a time when it was made very difficult to do so. And rather than support me, almost every friend I had looked the other way and let me be painted as a monster and a madman instead. Ardal O’Hanlon. Adam Buxton. Amelia Bullmore. Bill Bailey. A long and ignominious list.

My lawyers will be reading his chapter about me carefully, but my instinct is not to sue him, and to let it stand exactly as written, a signed confession, an indictment of him and the cowardly, careerist, mendacious class of people who could roughly gather under the title “Graham Linehan’s old friends and colleagues”.”
